build for osX server 1.1.5
Due to the exploit in samba <2.2.8, we can no longer run the samba
supplied by apple. Apple has not released any updates for OSX server
1.1.5 -- instead wanting us to upgrade to OSX server 10.2 for $900. I
have been able to build the latest version of samba on max osX , but
authentication is not working. What are the hooks needed to talk to the
netinfo database for password information?

Multiple IP addresses and using same IP for outbound calls as inbound
Why not use OpenSips/Kamailoo in between? Where you want 1.1.1.1 you pass
it along as is. Where you want 2.2.2.2 change the sdp in opensips/kamailio

mount type and ensure => present on OS X
Hello all.
There is some strange thing going on with our OS X clients.
We have created a package which is run via SystemStarter. What it does?
It parses /etc/fstab and mounts the NFS directories mentioned there.
This is needed since we want to have static mounts and the
NetInfo-automounter combination does not do static mounts (even with
ttl=0 set for the mount, which is supposed to do a

RTP address learning and timing problem
I don't know in that specific output what happened. Your best course of
action is to add further logging or step through the logic with all of the
knowledge you have of the RTP streams to understand what is happening.

samba 2.0.6 on HP-UX 11.0
I've had samba running cleanly on an HP-UX 11.0 system for many months, with
"DOMAIN" security and one-to-one account name mapping. A few days ago I
started getting password prompts on connection, and messages like this in
the log files...
[2003/01/02 15:46:36, 0] rpc_parse/parse_prs.c:(316)
prs_mem_get: reading data of size 60 would overrun buffer.

RTP address learning and timing problem
Hi Joshua,
Thank you for that. From the code it kind of looks like
STRICT_RTP_LEARN_TIMEOUT is a minimum, not a maximum:
if (!ast_sockaddr_isnull(&rtp->strict_rtp_address)
&& STRICT_RTP_LEARN_TIMEOUT < ast_tvdiff_ms(ast_tvnow(),
rtp->rtp_source_learn.start)) {
ast_verb(4, "%p -- Strict RTP learning complete - Locking on source address
%s\n",
Our call shows:

Find out which key ended recording?
Hi Steve,
What language is that please? We're using Perl and so far I haven't found
an equivalent there.
Thanks for your help.

Big problems after update to 9.6
Hi David,
It seems like a network issue to me, As it's unable to connect the other node and getting timeout.
Few things you can check-
  * Check the /etc/hosts file on both the servers and make sure it has the correct IP of the other node.
  * Are you binding gluster on any specific IP, which is changed after your update.
  * Check if you can access port 24007 from the other host.

Multiple IP addresses and using same IP for outbound calls as inbound
Hi George,
Thank you for the response. I'm a little unclear on what you mean by a
transport. We're using chan_sip, not pjsip.
Do you mean a device in sip.conf, using bindaddr to set the address to bind
for that device? We've only used bindaddr in the [general] section before,
but if it will work in a device that could be the answer.

It's probably best if you read the logic[1]. There's an entire comment that
talks about how it works.

RTP address learning and timing problem
Hi Joshua,
Could you confirm if the 5 second period for learning a new audio stream is
a minimum or a maximum? The unusual call flow in question results in
Asterisk learning a new audio stream when we don't want it to, and having a
minimum of say 2 seconds of audio would help avoid this.
Thank you!

Asterisk 13 chan_sip trunk appending @string to dialled number
Yes indeed.
Do you have the dialplan, eg from /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf?
Something is getting this OUT_3_SUFFIX variable and including it in a Dial
to 172.22.4.12.

Problem with SWAT on MacOS X 10.3.3 server
Hi everybody
I have installed SWAT services under MacOS X Server 10.3.3 by adding
the service to Netinfo manager and set enabled = yes in
/etc/xinet.d/swat file.
I try to login as root in Safari (I have enabled the root account),
but keep getting the messages that the name and the password is
incorrect.
Any ideas anyone ?
Best regards
Torsten

This error happens each time I try to access my mac from a windows XP or

OSX is substantially different from FreeBSD (even without netinfo)
despite having some of the same source code. I doubt you'll find
