However, I have problems locating the help files for those functions. Here are some details. bug in Rf_PrintValue ?
I'm very green with R, so maybe this is not a bug, but it looks like one to me. The following program segfaults at the second call to Rf_PrintValue(). To failure depends on the value of the y-string. E.g., if I change it from "coverage" to, say, "COVERAGE", the segfault does not occur. /* bug.c */ #include <stdio.h> #include <Rinternals.h> #include

Output from as.windrose() in oce package baffles me
I'm having trouble understanding the output from as.windrose(). For one thing, data on a boundary between sectors seem to be left out of the counts. I assume that explains the missing point in the output below (angle 45). Shouldn't one side of each sector interval be open, to include values such as my 45 in the example? Also, why does the angle 180 in my input apparently not result in

tests Rin Rout
Hi the list, Some rumour (!) say that is it possible to prepare some tests for checking our code using .Rin and .Rout. It seems to be a very good practice, but I did not manage to find information on it. So does someone know how it works ? What are we suppose to write in Rin ? More precisely : - I have a package myPack.r in directories ~/myR/myPack/R/ - I create the directory

Samba 2.2.x -- which is best for printing?
Since there has been some discussion lately of bugs or possible bugs, I wanted to ask what might be the latest, best release of Samba 2.2.x that I should upgrade to. Here's my scoop: Solaris 7 as Samba server, currently running 2.2.1 ( authentication is handled through the Active Directory domain server) Samba clients (~30) are most all Win2K PCs.. needing access simply for UNIX file

Another printing problem...
I'm running samba 2.2.3a-6 under Debian (testing) and I am having a heck of a time getting Windows 2000 to print to my printer. I keep getting that "Access denied, unable to connect" message. At one point I had it so you could print test pages, but as soon as you tried to print from an application, it would break. However, that doesn't even work anymore. I've been reading

Is r2u at 3.4.1? [branch about handling package collisions under Ubuntu/Debian]
This is definitely tangential to the list: I'm on Ubuntu (22.04.2 LTS) not Debian and I'm sure this is about issues in the Ubuntu package management on my machine, R is only revealing them. The original subject line came from me wondering if my going over to the r2u repository would solve the problem.? However, as I think Dirk said, that's only really likely to be answered by trying
