Hi during Startup of SuSE-Linux 7.2 Prof. the PC is sometimes ( 1 of 10 times) stopping by start smbd. Reset knop the help only. I have this problem with the samba version in SuSE package and version 2.2.5 too. In the file ../rc3.d/S12smb I added 2 lines to see if nmbd and smbd are startet. I see nmbd is starting always, the text "SAMBA smbd gestartet" is in case of fault not printing.

Hello everybody, i am trying to mount a CIFS-share while booting, providing a credential file for the share (/root/smbpassword) - without success (with SElinux turned on). The share will get mounted just fine when typing mount -a on the shell. And it also will get mounted automatically during boot when SELinux ist turned off. Hi, got a very severe problem. I have two hard drives in my RS server and I am getting the secondary drive removed. Here's the problem. After the secondary drive is removed, the server fails to bootup completely, crashing at fsck. The server boots up fine when the secondary drive is put back in however.
