Need versions of automake and autoconf not in repository
I have the latest updates to CentOS 5.6. However, I need different versions of autoconf and automake. How can this be handled? What will happen on later updates? Currently I have autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.59 automake (GNU automake) 1.9.6 I need autoconf 2.69-1 and automake 1.11.6. Thanks, John -- John J. Samba + username with spaces_
How does samba handle NT usernames that contains spaces. Also NT can have long usernames while Linux can only have 8-10 character long usernames. Is there anyway you can map those long usernames to Linux? Thanks MattB

[PATCH] autoconf small fix
Hi Timo, the attached patch seems to solve a warning from autoconf: libtoolize: Consider adding `AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR([m4])' to configure.in and libtoolize: rerunning libtoolize, to keep the correct libtool macros in-tree. 2k clients
Hello, I have ran into a fairly large problem. When ever i try to join to samba 2.2.5 controlled domain with my win 2k client. It says user does not exist. I checked to see of the machine trust account was setup correctly and it was. Also the username and password i used is a working user because i can logon with my 98 box just fine. The trust accounts are made, there is a domain admin user

need automake/autoconf help to build RnetCDF and ncdf packages
Greetings all, I recently tried to install RNetCDF from within R (install.packages) on Fedora Core 8 (with netcdf 3.6.2 and netcdf-devel 3.6.2 already installed). This resulted in an error because the netcdf header files are installed in /usr/include/netcdf-3 rather than /usr/include which is where RNetCDF looks for them. This problem was described in a 2006 post (see below), but no

Re: Question about setns recognising in libvirt autoconf
Hi Gaofeng, It seems that I've got the answer. In manual page about setns, it said that library support was added to glibc in version 2.14 while my libc version is 2.13. Thanks for help anyway. when to rerun syslinux
Hi, I looked through the documentation (and searching the archives was a bit hard), but I'm still not sure. Under what circumstances do I need to rerun the installer, e.g. syslinux /dev/sda1 for installation of syslinux on a USB drive. If I copy and/or move ldlinux.sys ? I would guess, yes. If I copy and/or move syslinux.cfg ? Not sure. If I edit syslinux.cfg ? Probably not. (even if I

Drip Rerun
Hi, Ok, I'll start by being frank: I don't have any time to devote to searching for a solution to this issue, so I'm hoping someone else can provide it for me :-) Drip Rerun ( http://www.yoyogames.com/games/launch/4761 ) is a port of a game I once played on my C64. It downloads as a Setup file which runs fine. However, the installed game crashes on launch. I see a progress bar for

Random Forest:how to do an automatic rerun using only the important variables
Hi, I am using the Random Forest Package, and want to do an automatic rerun using only those variables that were most important in the original run. Is there anybody who has experience with this and can give me helpful suggestions? need automake/autoconf help to build RnetCDF and ncdf packages
I imagine this "where are your header files" problem comes up in other packages, so I'm asking this as a general R question. How should configure scripts be re-written so they look in more places? Briefly, the problem is that Fedora-Extras installs the header files in a subdirectory /usr/include/netcdf-3 rather than /usr/include: # rpm -ql netcdf-devel /usr/include/netcdf-3

[LLVMdev] Re: IMPORTANT: autoconf changes
FYI, The changes to make libtool appear as mklib have now also been committed. If you want to have support for mklib in your build tree, here's what you do: cd $objdir rm libtool $srcdir/configure --prefix=... --llvmgccdir=... After configure runs, you should have a "mklib" script in your $objdir and the Makefile.rules have been configured to use it. Reid. On Sun, 2004-09-19 at

[LLVMdev] Removing $(LLVM_SRC_ROOT)/autoconf dependensies in Stacker, llvm-java [PATCH]
Personally, I don't think LLVM projects should need much in the way of autoconf stuff. They certainly don't need to replicate things like install-sh and mkinstalldirs. I'd vote for taking these out of the projects rather than making the makefiles deal with them. I think in most cases these are just historical artifacts that have been with the projects since long before the new
