approxfun + save: problem as R_approx changed package
Hi all,
I recently switched to R version 2.6.2 (from 2.5.0 I was using) on Windows XP.
I have a fair amount of previous data saved in the form of "approxfun" objects created by version 2.5.0, with code basically like this:
> x <- rlnorm(100,10,2)
> f <- approxfun(1:100,x)
> f(5)
[1] 313811.3
> save(f, file="mytest_approx.Rdata")
Now on 2.6.2, when I try to

For Andrew Tridgell
Hi Mr.Andrew Tridgell
I did install Samba Server (Version 2.2.3a). All work perfectly. My users
can work with share directories from WinNT and Win98. But ...
I did all tests that you recommend, but test number 3 and test number 7
didn't work. I received message:
# /usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient -L Israel-is
Ld.so.1: /usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient: fatal: libreadline.so.4: open

Re: ACL issues still unresolved (Andrew Furey)
It sounds like smbd isn't linking to the acl libs-have you run ldd against
winbindd to see if it is linking to libacl.so.1?
I recently had very similar symptoms running 2.2.7 under Debian and I found
that I wasn't compiling against the acl libs.
Make sure you have the line (this might work best if you put this line
before --with-msdfs)
--with-acl-support in debian/rules,
Plus you have to

thank you wayne, andrew, paul and everyone else
For me, rsync is an indispensable tool. I don't know what I'd do without it.
Rsync and OpenSSH make our open systems possible.
Of course, we wouldn't NEED them so much if we had better distributed file systems,
but let's keep this an upbeat message. :-)
I'd like to thank Andrew and Paul for giving birth to it, Wayne for nurturing it, and
everyone else for providing

To Andrew Barlett regarding 'WERR_ACCESS_DENIED'
Dear Andrew,
I know you may not have time for this, but I found a list message from you in August ([cifs-protocol] Errors when doing a DsAddEntry ) where you show quite the same error I get when I try to join Samba 4a17 to a W2003 domain.
I get to add partialy the server to the domain, but fails with "WERR_ACCESS_DENIED" at some point. I've searchead the web without finding a

good news for solaris8 &3.4p1
Thanks go to Darren Tucker who posted about "#if 0" on auth-pam.c
I saw his email in the archive, about solaris 7.
I removed the "#if 0", and finally, password expiration works.
A caviat or two:
If UseLogin=no (the default) , if a user fails to use the
correct password for a "change on first login" account, you get the
following message:
sshd(SYSTEM): Sorry,

This problem isn't Solaris-specific - it happens on Linux platforms,
too. I'd like to know if there are any plans to include the PSC HPN
patches (http://www.psc.edu/networking/projects/hpn-ssh/) into openssh.
