2.2.0alpha3: Still trouble with document defaults
Hi, I have already posted several times a message about my printing troubles with document defaults concerning samba 2.2.0alpha2. I now tried alpha3 but the problem still remains: I can install a printer driver on the samba server without any trouble. Setting document defaults (Page Size, duplexer installed) seems to work, the setting are saved (somewhere). But applications don't care of

Changing default paper size to A4 on CentOS 5 (Kyocera FS1920 printer)
Hello, I have a Kyocera FS1920 network printer, and I run an up-to-date CentOS 5.6 x86_64 workstation. When I try to print with evince or Firefox the default paper size is always set to US Letter whereas the printer use A4. I have searched and other people seem to have the problem, but the only recommendations that I have found boil down to setting the default paper size to A4 in the CUPS

Letter instead of A4 with driver installed via Samba's Point'n'Print
Hello everyone, I have already asked for this the cups list/newsgroup, but it seems to me that this might be more a question about Samba. According (hopefully) to these howtos I have setup printers and prepared their cups postscript drivers to be installed automatically via Samba and the so called Point'n'Print method: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-456501-highlight-.html

Page size won't stay on A4 :(
Hi All, I'm running a Samba 2.2.1 PDC on Linux (2.2.19 kernel), I've pretty much got it behaving, the two exceptions being it never distributes it list of machines in the domain(as master browser) - I can live with this (for now) but... I've got a Printer shared to the workstations, I can see the printer, print to the printer, but I can't get the paper size for the printer to

adding printer driver to a printer
Hi, I'm using debian woody with samba (2.2.3a-12.3). After installing 2.2.8a everything that worked, still works. What didn't work, still doesn't work. Sharing files works properly. I'd like to share a printer via the samba server. When I go to the printers&faxes share in explorer, no printers are shown. Hereunder is my smb.conf, /etc/lprng/printcap, and the logfile

Printer default document properties
Hi there, we recently installed the latest samba 2.2.0 on a Solaris 2.6 server and encounter some problems with the default document propoerties of our printers. The printer admins can set the properties and if we query them again the correct settings are diplayed. But if an application uses the printer the paper and duplex settings seem to be wrong. They are always "A4 klein" (we are

Printer drivers, document defaults
Hi, I recently posted several mails concerning my problems with samba 2.2.0 acting as a server for printer drivers. The drivers are downloaded to the Windows clients, but the document defaults get muddled up. Even if I set the document defaults to German Page Size "A4", applications insist in setting the doucment page size to "Legal" or "Letter". Is there anyone

plot 7 * 3 matrix on DIN A4 pdf
Hello, I want to plot 21 scatter plots in a 7*3 matrix on a single A4 page (using mfcol). Below is an example, which -by and large- looks very close to the desired result. But I do not get it to fill out the whole page. If I specify the a different page size, the plots still do not fill out the whole page. Anybody an idea what to do? Maybe adjusting indvidiual plot size (if so, how?). Or is there

XFS-ACL-Samba: Trouble adding acls
Hi, I recently tried to use ACLs with samba. XFS is running, I can set ACLs using setfacl and read them with getfacl, no problem so far. Samba compiled fine with '--with-acl-support'. Now I set up a share with 'nt acl support = yes', put there a file and added an acl with 'setfacl': root@edjo[ACLTEST]# getfacl datei.txt # file: datei.txt # owner: odenbach # group:

Re:Plotting to A4 and replacing x-axis with actual years.
Hie, I have written before and probably missed the reply. 1.) I have my figures in a 3X3 array and want to fit them onto a A4 size page. I have written commands to try a represent them in eps format but still their cutting out information. 2.) I have an odd number of years and wanted to represent them say 1980 1985 1990 1995 2000 instead of 1 5 10 etc. However, the years are not overwritting in

R-alpha: NextMethod in 0.50-a4
I am encountering difficulty with NextMethod in 0.50-a4. We created a class of groupedData objects which are data.frames with additional attributes. The most important attribute is a formula describing roles of some of the variables in the experimental design. The class of such objects ends in "groupedData", "data.frame". The print method for the groupedData class simply

Ahora voy a

Help with graphs in A4 size
Hi, I need to generate complex graphics which have to be shown in the plot window but also in pdf file, and they must have A4 size. This is the reason why I use width=8.27 and heigth=11.69. The problem is that I don't make it runs when I put something (text, lines, and so on) outside the plot region. I mean if I run the following code, it works perfectly, because the text "My

R-beta: default paper size
After some paper clipping problems I checked options() and saw that the default paper size was a4; I need US Letter. So as per instructions I uncommented the R_PAPERSIZE line in config.site, R_PAPERSIZE=letter Restarting R, everything is still the same though. I guess I have to reinstall? That seems awkward. Is there a way a prompt ("a4 or letter paper?") can be inserted in the
