Wine call graph; wineserver; the "big picture".
Hi, I've been lurking for a while now with a view to starting work on wine - specifically COM and DCOM. I know some people have started some work and there might be some patent issues with COM at least - so maybe DCOM is a better bet (I had the possibly niave idea of implementing COM via DCOM - it would be almost transparent, slower but less "dangerous"). I've read most of the

The 'test.terms' argument in 'regTermTest' in package 'survey'
This is a question regarding the 'regTermTest' function in the 'survey' package. Imagine Z as a three level factor variable, and code ZB and ZC as the two corresponding dummy variables. X is a continuous variable. In a 'glm' of Y on Z and X, say, how do the two test specifications test.terms = c("ZB:X","ZC:X") # and test.terms = ~ ZB:X + ZC:X in

blame-transfer protocol on PXE boot
hpa, etal, pxelinux works great from a push of the reset button. machine boots normally. However, after i issue 'reboot' command, my box fails to find the tftp server during reboot. This looks to be happening before pxelinux has any chance to participate, so it cannot be to blame. Im seeking corroboration here before I go badgering the bios-provider here's the relevant

what is IPC$
HI I have been working with NT, Samba and win 9x for a couple of years. Any time an NT server is set to Domain security, or a Samba server is set to anything but share level security I have problems. My problem is this. I want to allow a diverse groupe of machines to connect to the samba server using user level access, but it always askes me for a password to connect to \\SERVER\IPC$, but no

Erratic / unstable PDC
Greetings all, I have a problem with my Samba server seeming to hang for 10 seconds every 5 minutes or so. Client machines also become sluggish across the entire network during this period. It does not seem to affect file transfers that are in progress. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Username Map not work
Hi All: I am running Samba 2.2.2 on HPUX-11.0. I use our NT 4.0 domain controller as the password server. However I also need to use the "username map" parameter. Samba will not look at my "username map" file. Any ideas? Also the "guest account" parameter will not work unless its in the "global" section ( it is supposed to be a share level parameter in

Testing Specific Hypothesis
Hi All! I am interested in testing whether the means for the data I am investigating are equal to a specific value - let's say 0.01. I have already run a one-way ANOVA and know that the differences in the means are not significant, so now I want to know what values the means take on. "otestme" is the data I am working with (it would be hard for me to get into a form that would be

mixed models for analyzing survey data with unequal selec tion probability
Han-Lin I don't think I have seen a reply so I will suggest that maybe you could try a different approach than what you are thinking about doing. I believe the current best practice is to use the weights as a covariate in a regression model - and bytheway - the weights are the inverse of the probabilities of selection - not the probabilities. Fundamentally, there is a difficulty in making

centos vault
We are in need of a remote mirror that provides rsync capabilities for vaulted centos releases. Specifically centos 4.3 but we'll need 4.4 when it is vaulted too. Any helpful links to information on this or a reputable mirror would be fantastic. Thanks.
