Why can't I get out of a domain as the PDC?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
For some reason, when I change my configuration from being a PDC to
just being a member of a workgroup, my server isn't able to stop
being in the domain. There's one other machine that is still in the
domain. Is this why I can't change? I've stopped samba and
restarted it numerous times, but I can't get out! Any suggestions

WinAmp RC1/RC2 problem
Hi,
I've got a number of sound effects for a mod of a game in Ogg Vorbis format,
encoded with OggDrop (RC2). WinAmp with Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder RC1 and RC2
freeze when I try to play those files. Maybe it's because the files are so
small?
Both OGG and WAV versions can be found at

Are you using the build system in the module "win32sdk"? All the issues
you bring up have been solved there. All versions of the libraries work --
static and dynamic, debug and release.

explaining factors -- independent variables) received from lm(). The
independent variables are present in columns of the matrix.

Is this slowness normal?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I have installed wine 20010629 from codeweavers (this seems to be the
latest version available from there).
Running on a 700MHz Linux box, with gnome as the desktop manager and icewm

If I run the (in)famous SOL.EXE, it takes 53 seconds before the program
appears on the desktop. All the other programs I've tried seem to

Character set of filename problem?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I'm getting the rsync error "partial transfer (code 23) at main.c(925)"
when restoring a 'rsync-ed' Windows partition from a Linux system.
I feel the problem might be caused by the characterset (win-1250) which
the files on Windows partition are stored in.
Is there any solution to this?
Thank you

Rsync synchronizes unchanged files

I wish to use rsync to synchronize a whole fat32 (MSWindows) partition
mounted into a linux system. I run rsync from linux.
The problem is rsync synchronizes most of the data even if the data hasn't
changed since the original image was made.
I used the -avz parameters to do the backup and the same for restoration.
Also I've tried just -rvz. It

Ext3 indexed directory extension.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
Searching in the ext3 filesystem mailing list I have seen that there is an
indexed directory extension for it.
Is this extension stable code ?
Has anyone test it ?
How may I obtain and install it ?
Is it available in any of the last kernel releases ?
Greetings.

multihost master.passwd sync
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions about syncing up master.passwd
files between multiple machines that didn't involve allowing root login
remotely? The users need to be able to log in remotely and own files on the
different machines.

Rmpi is not currently available on CRAN, and I don't think it has been

Does anyone know its current status?
A few months ago I corresponded with the author, who noted some build

working on it. I wasn't able to get it to work then (on a

[LLVMdev] LLVM ARM VMLA instruction
Thanks for the explanation, Tim!
gcc 4.8.1 *does* generate an fma for your code example for an x86 target
that supports fma. I'd bet that the HW vendors' compilers do the same, but
I don't have any of those installed at the moment to test that theory. So
this is a bug in those compilers? Do you know how they justify it?
I see section 6.5 "Expressions" in the C standard, and
