No "seteuid" method available
Hey Everyone: "No seteuid method available" is the error I get when trying to configure Samba 2.2.2 on an HP-UX 11.0 system. This system is part of a test network and has tcp/ip but no DNS. There are only 3 articles on the Samba site about this and the only fix requires changing and recompiling "C" libraries. Is there another, simpler fix? Thanks. ~ Gary Zawilinski ~

SAMBA on Solaris with windows NT
Hi, I installed samba 2.2.2 on a solaris server, I set security=user in [global], but when I try to access from windows nt or windows nt workstation, it will popup the error: 'The credentials supplied conflict with an existring set of credentials'. In windows 95 and windows 98 is no such problem. Is there anybody know how to solve this problem? Appreciate if you could help me. Thanks.

Samba Feature Usage: Does anybody use these options? Can we kill them?
As part of the effort towards Samba 3.0, a number of features have disappeared. This message is intended to gauge the reaction that would occur if Samba 3.0 was released with these features still absent. Users who need these features should indicate exactly how vital they feel they are, and (if possible) the effort they would be able to put into reimplementing/supporting/testing it if it was

[LLVMdev] Building LLVM 3.3 on Win64
... Or maybe not? I just tried it again in the exact same configuration that did work before, and this time it fails at an earlier stage with a different error: [ 66%] Building CXX object lib/Target/Mips/CMakeFiles/LLVMMipsCodeGen.dir/Mips16FrameLowering.cpp.obj Mips16FrameLowering.cpp NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'C:\PROGRA~2\MICROS~2.0\VC\bin\cl.exe' : return code '0xffffffff'

username.map causes delays?
Hi, A user works on a Windows 2000 workstation with MS Visual C++. When he tries to open a file on a Samba share (Samba 2.2.2 on Sun/Solaris), Visual C++ hangs for about 10 seconds, then displays the file. At the same time, the following messages appear in log.smbd: [2002/09/26 12:21:27, 0] lib/debug.c:reopen_logs(337) Unable to open new log file /usr/local/samba/var/log.smbd: No such file or

[LLVMdev] Building LLVM 3.3 on Win64
After some running some more tests, a weird addendum to this case: the build also fails at the same place with the same error message if MinGW isn't in the path. I'm not talking about MinGW instead of Microsoft C++, it's just that the build works if and only if MinGW is in the path _as well as_ the 32-bit version of Microsoft C++. [LLVMdev] Building LLVM 3.3 on Win64
I'm trying to build LLVM 3.3 using cmake/nmake, Microsoft C++ 2012, on a 64-bit Windows 7 system. I tried it with the 32-bit compiler as a test case first and that appeared to work, then with the 64-bit compiler in the hope that would give me a 64-bit build of LLVM, but instead got this error message: [ 86%] Generating X86CompilationCallback_Win64.obj Microsoft (R) Macro Assembler (x64)

Asterisk on Ben NanoNote?
Hello I just read an article on the tiny Ben NanoNote: http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Ben_NanoNote As CPU, it uses a "JZ4720 366 MHz MIPS compatible processor from Ingenic Semiconductor Co", and it runs Linux. Does someone know if Asterisk has been ported to that platform? Thank you.

Fair enough, you're arguing in favour of a point; but it's not one I agree with. Tim.

Netlogon Long username
I just upgraded a server from an older version of samba to the newer 2.2.2. When I login from a win 98 machine with a username longer than 8 characters I get an error that Z:usern~93.bat could not be found. This is only a problem with 2.2.2. Is this a know issue, or did I miss a config option? Do I need to supply more information to help track this issue down? Thanks for the help.

Yes, I'm running all the existing passes that I know how to run. I didn't know they returned change-made. Thanks! unpredictable behaviour
I see very odd results from rsync 2.4.7pre1, the latest cvs version (sept 12, i think was the last modified file). We have a number of network-attached storage devices. 10/100 ethernet, nfs2 mounted (under nfs3, they buffer deletes, and recursive deletions fail). Usually, these are kept syncronized across a wan by a nightly cronjob, We have a few we keep in reserve, which we syncronize

IAXTEL configuration for new iaxtel users.
After battling for days trying to figure out what was wrong with my iax.conf it was determined that I do not have any inkeys set on the digium server. Now whether that is something new or just in a few cases I am not sure. Messing around and reading on IRC and the mailing list I could get certain things to work and then break other things. Now I can dial a IAXTEL number, 800 number and FWD

SSH Closes Immediately After Opening
I used the latest version from here: http://www.mls-software.com/opensshd.html On my other (Windows 10) machine (on which openssh works), I have cygwin installed, but if ssh was using cygwin, I wasn't aware of it. I just ran ssh from the command prompt. Wallace Forman 913-669-4453 On Wed, Jun 29, 2016 at 4:37 PM, ?ngel Gonz?lez <keisial at gmail.com> wrote: > On 29/06/16 21:36,

lld on Windows
Ah! I don't know what GUARDSYM does or whether there is any way to turn it off at the compiler end; a Google search doesn't seem to find anything; but it would be great if you could add support for msvc 2015. When I try using clang as the compiler, I get a different error message. In this case it seems to be just not finding the standard libraries? C:\t>clang -c a.c C:\t>lld

[LLVMdev] llvm-link deprecated in favor of gold plugin?
Ah! Okay. A quick test of llvm-lto gets an error: llvm-lto: error adding file 'main.bc': Linking COMDATs named '??_7_Iostream_error_category at std@@6B@': invalid selection kinds! Would it be the case that llvm-lto is also deprecated in favor of the gold plugin? On Tue, Feb 10, 2015 at 4:47 PM, Teresa Johnson <tejohnson at google.com> wrote: > LTOCodeGenerator is used

LLVM coding standards and order of includes
Generally it is safer to include ISO headers first (using the ‘#include <...>’ form) so as to minimise the possibility that a later user declaration or macro definition interferes with the correctness of the Standard libraries. It also tends to make pre-compiled header implementations faster and more shareable across a larger set of files. I would like to suggest revising the LLVM
