I setup a ssh chroot jail following this[1] guide. It works for my user to login, use ls and use scp which is all I really want. I do have a problem I cannot solve: when connected and navigating the filesystem, the backspace key actually moves the cursor forward and does not delete what I type. Hi list, I got a Winbind issue that I'm stuck with since a very long time, this is getting ridiculous. On our Linux shell server (Slackware 9.1), I Installed the whole samba from self-compilation, tried many different configure options but mostly --without-pam --with-ldap, and everything required from all the HowTos I've read. I've recently rebuilt a samba server and noticed this problem keeps coming up with groups. If I use a user in smb.conf valid users = me It works and I'm able to access the shared drive. There are no messages in the log file. However if I use group valid users = @admin I can't access the drive and I get a lot of errors in my messages file. Here is some of the errors.
