locking wink2k accounts
Hello, We are using Samba 2.0.4 on Solaris for a mixed set of NT4 and Win2K clients. Occasionally, the NT domain controller will lock the account from too many bad password attempts. One of our admins has suggested that this is due to samba sending a bogus password to 'verify' the existence of the account, before resending it with the 'correct' password. Has anyone heard of this

VP3/QT: A new kdxlqt_CodecVersion patch
The new 3.2.6.1 codecs work great with QuickTime 6 (thank you!), but there's no way for an application to identify them. And since the older 3.2.1.x and 3.2.2.x installers will actually *downgrade* the installed version of VP3, it would be nice if an application could warn the user. The attached patch increments kdxlqt_CodecVersion (and documents all the Component Manager arcana involved).

rda variance partioning in vegan problems
This is not a request for coding help so there is no reproducible code, rather I am trying to figure out if anyone had had a similar experience. My question is related to partitioning the variance in rda (vegan) results for multiple groups of variables. I have a high dimensional dataset with 79 explanatory variables and 9 response variables. Within those 79 explanatory variables there are ~8

Total inertia in package Vegan?
Dear all at the R-project help list. I have run into a problem when it comes to getting values for "total inertia" and "R-squared" for my DCA using "decorana" in the package "vegan". I have tried the "goodness" function, but the reply indicates that it does not work with "decorana" class objects. In Canoco one gets the Total inertia in

Vegan(ordistep) error: Error in if (aod[1, 5] <= Pin) { : missing value where TRUE/FALSE needed
I am getting the following erro rmessage in ordistep. I have a number of similarly structured datasets using ordistep in a loop, and the message only occurs for some of the datasets. I cannot include a reproducible sample - the specific datasets where this is occur ing are fairly large and there are several pcnm's in the rhs of the formula. thanks for any pointers that may allow me to

Redundancy canonical analysis plot problem in 3D using VEGAN, RGL, SCATTERPLOT3D and SFSMISC
Hello Sir I am getting problem in plotting in CCA . Could you please help me? Samba 2.0.6, SunOS 4.1.4_U1 problems
Hi, I've been away from Samba for quite a while now, but am currently upgrading to 2.0.6 at my new post. So far so good with Solaris, IRIX and Linux, but I can't get it to compile under SunOS (4.1.4_U1). I'm compiling using gcc 2.7.2 and get lots of the following message types: > /opt/gcc272/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-sunos4.1.3_U1/2.7.2/include/sys/termios.h:116: warning: `NL0'

Resumen de R-help-es, Vol 54, Envío 22
Hola!

The RV coinertia coefficient to interpret multivariate analysis plots
Dear all community, My issue is related to the R package (made4) that permits me to calculate the RV coefficient of co-inertia. However, it is a theoretical question. And if I am not mistaken, the list Usenet groups sci.stat.consult is not currently active. Let me explain briefly: Through different microbiota datasets, I have plotted PCoA, db-RDA and sPLS-DA using 3 different types of

Personally, I recommend either ansible or bcfg2 over other tools. Puppet has a larger user base, but when I talk to users at conferences (such

Winbind backend : rid is too much underappreciated
I just came to the conclusion that the rid backend has been very much underappreciated. Too much mental inertia about how things used to be made? After strugling for two days to configure a member server against a Samba Active Directory with the ad/RFC2307 backend, I turned to the rid backend and voil?! all my problems are gone. Having to manually edit uids/gids in UNIX Attributes under RSAT

This is a general statistics question so I'm sorry if its outside the field of r help. Anyway, I have a suite of female and male traits and I have made a matrix of correlation coefficients using rcorr(). This results in a 6 by 6 matrix like this.. Users can't delete an email (Totally Random effect)
Hello all... Found a weird one here. I tried to search the web but I'm not having luck so I thought I'd hit the mailing list. We have noticed off and on all school year that every so often a user gets an email that they just can't delete using Thunderbird or Outlook over IMAP (we do not support Pop3 anymore.) Essentially the user clicks the email and takes it to the trash.
