Recovering emails from "dead" server
I have a Linix server that won't boot. I've patched in a live CD and mounted the original HDDs so I can browse the files using SSH. I am trying to find where all my customer emails are stored so that I can (hopefully) copy them off this "dead" server onto a new server which is also running cPanel and Dovecot. Does anyone know where Dovecot stores emails for each email

smbclient works, smbmount does not
Hi there, after browsing the mailing list archives for several hour I still couldn't find an answer to my problem, although it for sure sounds as if many people posted the same problem. Yet, none of the threads dealing with problems like these matched my problem, so I have to start a new thread on my own. This is my system environment: Linux machine: - Mandrake Linux 8.1 - samba-2.2.1a

Hi all , I'm running Debian Etch . I just finished configuring SAMBA as PDC to authenticate against LDAP server which works. The system in question uses default debian etch packages. As My Linix/unix accounts can authenticate against it. The LDAP works. I Used the default shipped smbldap-populate script to setup SAMBA. Everything seems to work as Anonymous User or as user

mounting smbfs
I am having trouble mounting a smbfs mount in redhat 7.3. I have read the man pages for mount, smbmount, smbmnt, but haven't had much luck. I am thinking I am just getting the syntax wrong. If I wanted to mount a system on my network with the ip address of 192.168.0.1, What would the syntax be for this? Any info would be of much help to me, Thank-You

Mounting for non-root users
This has been asked before but the answers haven't worked for me.I upgraded from 2.2.7 to 3.0.0. I used to connect to Windows sharesusing smbmnt in .bash_profile as a non-root user having chmod 4755smbmnt. Now this doesn't work: - smbmount won't let non-root users run it (even after a chmod) - smbmnt says "Failed to find real path for mount point" - mount -t smbfs says
