This is repeated for a number of IP addresses.
Obviously, the problem is two fold. Firstly I need to find out what the
problem is with the servers. However, I find it somewhat annoying to

Broadcast/Announce app
Does anyone have use for a broadcast/annouce app?
I wrote SystemAnnounce which will play a specified file to all active channels (in an UP or bridged state). This was originally to tell users to get off the system, but there are several other uses...
I also wrote a new CallPickup and CallPark app, both of which work more as expected (supply actual extension numbers, etc).
Let me know if there

BackgrounDRb background task runner and Application Wide Context Store
Friends-
I''m happy to annouce the first alpa release of BackgrounDRb. This is
a small framework for managing long running background tasks that
allows for ajax progress bars and more. It also serves as an
Application wide cache and context store for when you need something
like sessions but shared between users and multiple backend processes
like fcgi''s or mongrels.

LMB question
Can somebody explain to me how the whole Local Master Browser thing works?
I'm running samba across 3 subnets, and all the docs tell you to set up a
Local Master Browser on each subnet. I couldn't find any documentation on
how to actually do that so I used the remote announce option in smb.conf,
and it's working great, but now there are two machines (one for each
subnet outside of the

Windows and default --modify-window=0
Uhm... rsync developers: what do you think about changing the default
modify-window in the Cygwin platform?
It seems to me that many problems people have are just because of the
granularity of timestamp.
Maybe changing the default could be the best choice. That would be
documented in the "man" and in my release announcement on
cygwni-annouce, of course.
Just an idea, maybe it's
