Chnage of IP for the Samba PDC
We are changing the IP address of our Samba PDC this weekend (hostname remaining the same). Can anyone confirm (or deny) that it will not be neccessary for all PC clients to re-join the domain. NT domain clients behind isdn link
Hi, I've just set up a remote office, routed to our network via isdn. There are a handful of NT 4.0/sp3 clients and a single samba server. I had intended authentication to our PDC in the main office, all other services provided locally. If the link is 'up' this works fine, but if the link is down, the users cant login, because presumably the broadcast for a DC does not wake up the

Migrating from 1.9.19-prealpha
Hi, We have been using 1.9.19-prealpha very successfully for over a year and have just started migrating to 2.0.4b, the environment is Sun Sparc running Solaris 2.5.1 and NT 3.51 & 4.0(/sp3). Samba High Availability
We're using Samba, and it's working very well, however I'm interested in finding out what approaches would work for having some sort of redundancies in place in case the main server crashes.
