similar to: Problem with mput * on Tru64 ?

I've got problems getting files from a win2000 server using smbclient (see subject "SMBClient & Windows 2000"). I've tried using the -b parameter (documented in the online man pages) to change the buffersize in case that might be the problem but the smbclient I'm running doesn't recognise it. I'm running samba 2.0.5a on a Sun Sparc 5 with Solaris 2.6 and trying to use smbclient to copy an entire directory tree to a Windows NT 4.0 box. I'm using the recurse command and can create first level directories but I am unable to create new subdirectories in any of them.
