Adit Asterisk Cabling Connundrum.
I am hoping to replace my Nortel 8x24 switch with Asterisk. Right now my cabling comes from my outside phone box into my office and into a punchdown block and leaves the punchdown block as an amphenol connector which currently plugs into the Nortel swicth. A second amphenol connector them plugs into the switch and extends to another punchdown block that I believe carries the lines throughout the

Centos 5 and Driver Disks
Hi, I am trying to install CentOS 5.2 on a Dell PowerEdge R905, and a problem that you run into is that the DVD Drive on the system is not recognized by the kernel. I have done some searching on the web and found http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_103_13121.shtm and obtained the driver disk that it mentions. Having followed the instructions I can see and select the driver disk image but the

Cisco 7940 no outgoing audio
Hi All We have a private network setup (no nat) with three types of phones connecting to asterisk via SIP. We have Polycom, Grandstream and Cisco 7940 IP phones. When we ring polycom to grandstream or grandstream to polycom then both phones can send and receive voice fine and all is well. Re: Disk partitions and LVM limits - SUMMARY
Thank you all for the help. I'm writing this summary message because of people requests. I haven't tried all of this. I just collected it and organized it. You've got a big storage. Now what? The short answer is: "Just connect it. It should work." I'll play safe by saying that the following applies to <10TB storage. Some people reported file systems of 80TB.

strange disk space calculation ext4 df and du
Hi, in one server I do have a SSD raid 1 size 219GB. df shows 9.4 GB free, 198GB used. If I do "du -sch * | sort -h -r" on /, I just have close to 3.5GB used .... Any hints, what's eating up the space? Centos 6.6, fs = ext4. regards . df & du - that old chestnut
Afternoon, We have an ocfs2 release 1.4 filesystem shared between two nodes (RHEL5). The filesystem in question is used exclusively for Oracle RMAN backups. A df -h shows the following: [root at imsthdb07 ~]# df -h /data/orabackup Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/eva_mpio_myserver07_08_oracle_bkup0 250G

chan_iax2.so issues
Hi folks We've a few problems with a rebuild of one of our asterisk boxes, same kernel and configs as previously but unfortunately strange iax issues. If we load chan_iax2 then the system hits 100% CPU, if we do not load this module then all is well. I have tried removing the iax.conf and loading the chan_iax2 within the console and I got an error that included: iax2 show cache'

du vs df size difference
Hi all, Curious issue.. looking in to how much disk space is being used on a machine (CentOS 5.3). When I compare the output of du vs df, I am seeing a 12GB difference with du saying 8G used and df saying 20G used. # du -hcx / 8.0G total # df -h / Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/xvda3 22G 20G 637M 97% / I recognize that in most cases du and df

0 margin for creating eps files
Dear all, I am trying to create eps files of R plots (in Linux) so that I can import them into Word (obviously in MS Windows). What I would like is for the files to be cropped so that there is no margin around the actual plot, because I have no way of editing the files after they have been created. I have tried using par(mai=c(.75,.75,0,0)) in order to reduce the margin; it works fine when I

Samba 3.0.22 PDC trusting Active Directory 2003
I'm a longtime Samba user and admin (since 1.7) and I thought I had seen just about everything until Active Directory 2003 (native mode) completely took out our Samba user authentication (each server auth=domain to an AD 2000 domain). We have Samba running on a variety of servers (AIX, HP, Linux) and need to be able to provide our users with the ability to access their appropriate shares

Suppressing (or changing) the colours when using spatstat plot.quadratcounts
Hi, Using the quadrats and quadratcount functions in spatstat, when I go to plot either of these, I get the quadrats coloured by their identity, i.e., using a color ramp applied to the sequence of quadrats. This only happens when the quadrats are applied to an owin which is polygonal, i.e., when I have an irregularly shaped study area. There doesn't seem to be any obvious way to

Application Design
I have a question about how to implement a design in Rails. I will try to make this as easy to follow as possible. First, let''s say that I have an ''Orders'' table that has different statuses. The 3 statuses that I want to track are ''Submitted'', ''Approved'', and ''Purchased''. I also have 3 users of this application.
