Clang Build Linux presentations + demos
(bcc a few lists)
Hello,
For tomorrow's bi-weekly meeting [0][1], we have two guest presentations:
Prof. Mathieu Acher, an associate professor from the University of
Rennes, will be discussing with us about the Linux kernel's
configuration space. A common question we get is "does the kernel
build with Clang?" "Depends on the config" is just the tip of the
iceberg.

How can I fit the secondary y axis legend on my graph?
Dear All,
Having a bit of trouble with plotting two y variables on the same
graph. I cannot manage to get the secondary y axis label on to the right
of the axis - it gets plotted beyond the graphic window I assume?! The
way I constructed the graph is thus:
plot(data[,3],data[,2],axes=F, type="b") ## plots my data from two
data colums without axes - fine
axis(1, at=data[,3])

mISDN & Asterisk 1.4: HFC-S card not responsive
Hi,
I have installed Asterisk 1.4 with mISDN with the
install-asterisk.tar.gz script from beronet.com. On my system I have two
cards, one a AVM Frit!Card Pci 2.0 and one HFC-S chip. I know both to
work well with mISDN on my system from a previous installation.
Now however, the AVM card works well at first glance, i.e. it
"registers" incoming calls and works through the asterisk

Find out which key ended recording?
Hello,
We have a need to record audio and allow the user to press any DTMF key to
end the recording. Currently we're using the AGI command "record file"
which does allow us to specify which DTMF keys can end the recording.
However we also need to know *which* key actually ended the recording. Note
that only allowing # or * to end the recording won't work for us.
Does anyone

Hi Steve,
What language is that please? We're using Perl and so far I haven't found
an equivalent there.
Thanks for your help.

no network in domain 0
I am new to xen and trying to get the primary domain working properly before I
create a new one. I am using the Gentoo unstable sources (2.6.16-rc5) and xen
3.0.1 and the kernel boots Ok and eth0 is activated. At this point the
network is active and I can ping. Then I shutdown net.eth0 and start xend.
This restarts net.eth0 and does some other stuff. Now every thing looks
normal (ifconfig,

Questions about using sieve
I am trying to filter my imap mail sent to my phone by using sieve. Currently
everything is set up and works well using mbox and sendmail as the lda. I
have re-installed dovecot with sieve included and updated dovecot.conf, which
gives

Emerald Theme Editor Windows Squished?
Listmates,
On archlinux with emerald 0.8.2-1, the emerald theme editor windows are next
to unusable. For some reason, the button edit 'Places' and 'Name' window
areas are scrunched/squished way too small. Here is a screenshot:

How to logoff a session with dovecot?
I use dovecot to push email to my SE P1i and it works very well. :) However, I
have two email accounts set up on the phone, one using my domain for GPRS and
public WiFi and one using my WLAN address for use at home, the idea being I
don't want to pay for GPRS data at home. The trouble is the GPRS account
remains logged on and I get the mail in both inboxes. There is no option in
the email

Can levelplot colorkeys display a logarithmic scale evenly?
I'm using the {lattice} "levelplot" function to make a (more or less) 2-d
histogram, and for the most part it's working fine with my data. However, I
can't get the color key to do what I need. I can give it labels and custom
cutoffs, but my cutoff lines (and hence my labels) aren't evenly spaced, instead
they're more-or-less logarithmic, starting at

Phone cannot receive mail suddenly
Starting at midnight Feb 1 my phone can no longer fetch mail from Dovecot. It
endlessly connects and reconnects as you can see in the log below. I have
restarted dovecot, the phone, deleted /home/robinmail/mail, all to no avail.
I have turned on debug output but it does not tell me anymore. I can connect
and see the folder using the KMail imap client. Any idea how I can proceed
with this? The

they are allowed to unwind exceptions for example, since in theory this
can occur without scrunching externally visible memory (for example unwinding
can be done by having functions return an
