IAXy - no dailtone
I have a brand new IAXy I'm playing with. I do not get a dialtone on the phone, or any response at ll on the phone. No sound, no dialing, no ringing. The phone and wire are tested and known to be good. I think I have it setup correctly. When I give the iaxprov command I get this: #iaxyprov 192.168.1.90 iaxy.conf 02: c0 a8 01 5a 05: 11 d9 03: ff ff ff 00 04:

Windows NT PDC and Samba PDC cross subnet browsing?
Hello, I have been searching for answers now more then a week, but I cannot find a proper solution. Please help me with this: Scenario: Two differnet subnetted networks (1 and 2) connected by a cipe tunnel between two linux Samba boxes over the internet. On network one (1) is a Windows NT PDC installed which currently is the DMB for it's domain (1). On network two (2) one of the linux

Authorize to samba, can't connect to NT. Help!!
Hi group, I have a Linux server running 2.0.5a and setup as workgroup ADMIN. It's set to do domain logins, local, preferred and domain master are on and security is set to user level. We have the local workgroup ADMIN here on x.x.3.x subnet and on x.x.4.x there is an NT PDC that controls the MSHIP domain. The local 98 users login to ADMIN and can browse the servers across the subnet in

NT server manager support/Failed RPC calls
I am currently using samba 2.0.5a as a file server on Redhat 6.1 with a NT controlled domain. I am trying to use the NT server manager to look at the shared directories on the samba server and the RPC call is failing. I have tried various smb.conf implementations with different security levels, protocols and announce as, but it never succeeds. I have also tried the 2.0.7 release with basically

Re: Windows NT PDC and Samba PDC cross subnet browsing? (solved)
Hi everyone, I think I solved it: - I installed WINS on both sides on the PDC's (Samba on the one end, NT on the other). - On both subnets the clients are configured by dhcp to use their own PDC's WINS as their primairy WINS server and the WINS on the remote PDC as their "secondairy" WINS server. - TCPIP configuration on the Windows NT PDC configured to use it's own WINS

NT groups vs Unix Groups
Hello, I'm not clear withs groups mapping between NT and Unix Groups. Configuration : PDC : NT4 box (PDC won't migrate to samba) Samba 2.2.8a (UCLA binary) / AIX 5.2 Security = domain. Some NT users and groups have more than 8 cars. For the users, we have the "usermap" file, seems to work fine. What is the solution for the groups ? On the other hand, is the NT group membership

Browsing from NT 4.0
Hi James, One of the things that NT does different from WIN9x is that it attempts to 'browse' using a null session. This typically means that SAMBA is going to try to make the attachement for the 'null' username as SAMBA's guest account (by default 'nobody'). On a lot of HP systems the 'nobody' /etc/passwd entry is set as uid -2 and gid -2. These uid/gid

[LLVMdev] clang promoting local to global
So there are some #define (defined outside the function scope) that use it_tab that are used inside the function, is this why it is promoting it to a global? Promoting a DC
So, I'm wondering if anyone has a "howto" on promoting a non-master DC to FSMO/Operation master and making it the Primary DC? [I don't see it in the Wiki and searching doesn't produce anything for me.] In my particular case, I have a couple of test DC's I've setup. Rather than tear them down, I might like to just move them into production/final testing and then

[LLVMdev] Promoting i1,i8,i16
Is there a way to force llvm to promote all smaller types to i32 instead of i16? Thanks, Micah Villmow Systems Engineer Advanced Technology & Performance Advanced Micro Devices Inc. [LLVMdev] Promoting i1,i8,i16
I want to promote i1 to i32 and not i16 as i32 is my native type and i16 is emulated, but I need to handle i16 as a special case so I don't want to promote it. I will see if what Bill pointed out is what I need. Promoting Samba BDC to PDC
Hi, Our domain is setup with one Primary Domain Controller and two Backup Domain Controllers, and a member server. All domain controllers (PDC and BDCs) are running Gentoo Linux with Samba and LDAP. The member server (fileserver) is a SUNS machine running Solaris. We do everything (add, edit, modify groups and accounts) on the PDC and it will then sync all the changes to the BDC by way of

[LLVMdev] PATCH allow for promoting any size struct arguments
Hi, the ArgumentPromotion pass replaces aggregrate function arguments by multiple individual arguments. The default pass only does this when the aggregrate has 3 or less elements, otherwise the code will be unchanged. I have a need to always promote aggregrate arguments, even when there are a lot of them. The attached patch adds a "maxElements" argument to ArgPromotion's
