I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on why my nmbd daemon stops running. I checked the logs and there is nothing showing in there as to why this daemon stops. SMBD is running there just fine, but not NMBD ?? Any thoguhts? --- Ted Gervais, Coldbrook, Nova Scotia, Canada

I just installed Centos (version 4.4) and wondering how I can change things so I don't have to login. I am aware of the security implications for doing this but I would prefer this if I can do it. With the 2.6 kernels we have lost the ability to use ptyxx and ttyxx for the installation of various ports. I am thinking of attaching a modem etc to an axip or other similar port and for that I always used ptyxx/ttyxx to do this.
