backup_list_request
Hi,
I am still bit of a novice to SAMBA. However, I feel that I have it up and
running well except for the following error:
[2000/02/03 22:32:48, 0] nmbd/nmbd_incomingdgrams.c:(703)
process_get_backup_list_request: Invalid name type 0 - should be 0x1b or 0x1d.
Has any one seen this error before? What does it mean and how might it be fixed?
Thanks for your help in advance!!

Can't configure a WINS server
Hi, I'm trying to configure samba-1.9.18p8 to act as a wins server, to be
able to browse between the two networks here at work (192.9.200.x and

the wins support = yes. (No, it has no wins server = xxx line :))
It's been several days trying to make it work, and, with a debug level of

NMBD unresponsive
Hi there,
I have found a problem with my Samba server 3.0.28. This problem appeared suddenly without
any changes in configuration or server update.
NMBD becomes unresponsive in some minutes after startup with these options enabled:
name resolve order = wins lmhosts hosts
wins server = 172.25.8.86 172.25.8.84
Unresponsive means that it is not possible to connect to server,
