port 139 problems
I'm trying to setup Samba for the first time. I have followed documentation, gotten password files setup, joined a domain, and now I'm trying to start the daemons. I start the nmbd fine, and can see it in Netowrk Neighborhood. However, when I try to start smbd with /usr/local/samba/bin/smbd -D, it fails immediately. The log.smb shows: [DATE] smbd/server.c:main(641) smbd version 2.0.7

Win95 and Win98 - hanging while shutdown
Hallo! I have a small problem. As I installed a Samba-server at one of our customers (office of foreign affairs, AKA consulate), Win98r2 does not want to shut down, the system hangs. It looks like if Windows "forgets" to disconnect the services before shutdown (at least the system hangs - over night (!!) and according to logfiles the workstation has not made any disconnect). As I

Hi people. Im new on Xen and I''m looking in how to do a physical migration on Xen. I know that there is a lot of choices (that is the first problem) My environment is simple: 2 physical servers, each one running one instance of XEN. Each host has 2 gigabit cards. One to talk with the world, other to talk between theirselves. I want to run the every vm on the both hosts, if one fail

ISDN 4 BRI card for UK
Hello I want to setup an Asterisk in several offices with 4 BRI ISDN. I am looking for recommendations on hardware. Criteria would be ease of setup, reliability and cost. The Eicon 4 BRI cards seem fairly pricey. Shame Digium don't do a ISDN BRI card. Angus -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Connecting Asterisk to GSM
Hi List, I was wondering if there was any device I could use to connect * to GSM networks. I don't need much capacity, maybe 2-4 GSM channels. As usual, cheap is better :-) Any tips on this? Cheers, Jean-Michel.

Unable to open master device '/dev/zap/ctl'
I installed TDM400P and X100P pci cards in a system running mandrake 10.1 official, kernel 2.6.8.1-12mdksmp. I can compile zaptel, libpri, asterisk and modprobe (zaptel, wcfxs, wcfxo) without errors. Except that running ztcfg and asterisk fails. [root@asterisk asterisk]# ztcfg Notice: Configuration file is /etc/zaptel.conf line 3: Unable to open master device '/dev/zap/ctl'

I have the following configuation. My storage: 12 luns from a Clariion 3x80. Each LUN is a whole 6 disk raid-6. My host: Sun t5240 with 32 hardware threads and 16gig of ram. My zpool: all 12 luns from the clariion in a simple pool My test data: A 1 gig backup file of a ufsdump from /opt on a machine with lots of mixed binary/text data. A 15gig file that is already tightly compressed. I wrote

"busy hang" on e2fsck (on a ext3 partition)
(There really doesn't seem to be a dedicated e2fsprogs list, so this was the next-best place I could find. I don't place much faith in the sourceforge forums..) The filesystem in question is a 480 gig ext3 partition, on a hardware RAID5 controller. It's approximately 90% full, with something like 115K files. Kernel 2.4.20-pre4, on a Duron 900. As I type this, e2fsck has used up
