Pb downloading driver
Hi,
I've got a problem downloading the printer drivers from a samba server.
I uploaded them fine with a W2K workstation as root, but when i try to get
them from a W9X client it fails except if i log as root.
And this is the message displayed in the samba logs of the computer on which
i did it :

Problem with handling of attributes in xmlToList in XML package
Hello all,
I have a problem with the way attributes are dealt with in the
function xmlToList(), and I haven't been able to figure it out for
days now.
Say I have a document (produced by nmap) like this:

Problems with CVS / 2.1.0 prealpha on Redhat 6.1 - still no joy with CVS
Dear All
Firstly my thanks to Luke Kenneth Casson Leighton <lkcl@samba.org> for
his answer - I have now 'use co -r SAMBA_TNG'ed and have a fresh CVS
snapshot.
The ./configure works again - yipee!
But the 'make all' fails with the warnings pated below.
I have tried the other CVS snapshots from http://sernet.pair.com/ and
they are in a similar broken state (although broken

minimal configuration for custom RPC?
I'm working on a system that needs secure communications between multiple
hosts, some of which are Linux and some of which are Windows, and all hosts
need to serve as both clients and servers. I wanted potentially to use
MSRPC/DCERPC as the comms mechanism. All the comms are
application-specific, and I specifically want to avoid including the full
Samba system, just what I need to implement

Samba 4 configuration trouble.
Hello,
I'm trying to setup a Samba 4 sever (Alpha 18) over Centos 6 32 bits. I have

winbind and AD password updates
Hi!
I've been trying to get password changes to work from a SuSE machine to
an AD server. Authentication works fine in AD mode, so at least that bit
is correct.
When trying to change the password, I get PAM error 4 back. Checking in
the logs, I see that winbind fails with the error
NT_STATUS_PASSWORD_RESTRICTION.
From Microsoft's documentation, I can read that this means that there

samba AD not working
Hello,
After classic upgrade from PDC to AD, most things look like they're
functioning but I'm having issues. Note that the upgrade did include a
system change, a new name, new IP address.
Using samba-4.6.5 compiled from git on Debian Stretch.
First issue I noticed was when trying to join the new AD from a
Windows machine I received:

coding volunteers needed for msrpc server-side API conversion
ok, people, i _really_ need help with this. i estimate that if i work on
this full-time it's going to take about... two weeks.
i have one volunteer for the samr functions. it's been two days, already,
and i'm only half-way through samr.
that means, nothing else gets done, and samba-tng current cvs is broken
because the _samr_lookup_rids() function goes into an infinite loop on
that

No RID Set found for this server. Can't self-allocate
The Samba ports are not filtered. The firewall is between STG-DC and
SAMBADC (both of them sync correctly). The sync problems happen in
VIG-DC3, which is behind the same firewall of STG-DC.
Here's nmap output (SAMBADC is 172.16.50.9):

[help] Can't Join Samba 2.2.3a to TNG+LDAP
I need to join my Samba 2.2.3a to a TNG Domain (which stores users and
machines account into OpenLDAP) using it as a password server.
Provided that TNG is working fine in authenticating users on W2K machines,
once they are logged in they should (in my intentions) see Samba 2.2.3a
shares. In order to do this I provided the following configuration for
Samba:
workstation = <tng_domain>

plenty of alpha releases have got to be good for the soul.
- fixed security = domain. i had some nice recursion problems, i love
filling up my process table with samrd and lsarpcd calling each other

- fixed up netlogond so that pam_ntdom can contact it on a domain loopback
