2.4.20, 2.4.21-pre2 and 2.4.20-ac2
Greetings, I have just tested Syslinux 1.75 and Syslinux 2.00 on a floppy disk that worked fine with Kernel 2.4.19 on a 1.44Mb floppy disk (the kernel about 1.1Mb in size). I decided to update the Kernel to the new 2.4.20 (as well as 2.4.21-pre2 and 2.4.20-ac2) which I tested to work fine when booting from the HDD using Lilo, but when I took my original disk that used 2.4.19 and replaced the

Ulimit problem - CentOS 5.10
Running across some curious stuff with ulimit on CentOS 5.10. We have a non CentOS packaged version of Asterisk (using their packages) that we start at boot time with a typical RC script. Recently it started whining that it couldn't open enough file handles. As we dug further into this, it appears that at boot time, it inherits ulimit from init, which is pretty low: 1024. We've set

Syslinux 5.01 fails to boot iPXE
I have an issue to boot iPXE with Syslinux 5.01. However, the same method works for Syslinux 4.06. SYSLINUX 2.09-pre2
This version contains a fix to mbr.asm, plus a version of Murali's menu system, but ported to gcc. Although gcc produces much bigger 16-bit code (since it's really 32-bit code with prefixes) I figured it would be much easier for people to deal with since it requires the configuration to be compiled in. That being said, it's a *very* powerful menu system, partially *because*

current state of pxelinux for UEFI...
Do note that not everyone is running a Debian based system, so "the current Debian Testing binary packages" are worthless to us. isolinux 6.04-pre3-3-g05ac953 - failed to load ldlinux.c32
Hi, We have been using isolinux 3.75 for a while now, to support pxelinux and UEFI we were going to update to 6.03, but seeing 6.04 has but fixes, decided to go with 6.04-pre3. First, is that about read for a "make official' ? Second, I did have to modify gnu-efi/inc/efilinks.h for the build to complete (had to remove the (intptr_t) which doesn't belong in EFI/EDK). So I've

PXELINUX gets stuck when receiving non-PXE traffic
Hey, I am running a custom-built router (based on a PCengines apu2c4 board, see https://github.com/rtr7/router7 for details) on which I am using PXE boot for recovery purposes, i.e. reverting to an older version of the software/configuration. In this scenario, my workstation acts as the DHCP, TFTP and HTTP server, and my router PXE boots into a recovery program. I have noticed a couple of times

Syslinux and EFI
Hi good day, can anybody please assist me to get PXE booting with syslinux, and EFI systems. PXE EFI Architecture-7 (64bit)? What I have tried: 1) Syslinux 6.03 -> Looks like a bug -> does not work because syslinux.efi tries to download ldlinux.e64 but from the DHCP server, in stead of the PXE boot server (the server that provided "option 60" and the boot file
