Web server files ownership?
Hi, I have a series of websites hosted on two CentOS 7 servers, using Apache virtual hosts. One of these servers is a "sandbox" machine, to test things and to fiddle around. On the sandbox server, I have a few dummy websites I'm hosting. # ls /var/www/html/ default phpinfo slackbox-mail slackbox-site unixbox-mail unixbox-site Since Apache is running as system user

valid users = +group doesn't work
Hi all, I seem to be having a problem identical to this bug: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3940 in Samba 3.0.28, however the bug is supposed to be fixed by now. I have a Fedora 7 box joined as a member to Windows 2003 domain. All my Windows users have accounts on the Samba machine, with the same user name in Windows and in Unix. I have a share with valid users = +group, where

Problems with Ad and Winbind
Hi folks, I'm using Samba 3beta running on RH 8.0 and I'd like to authentificate against a Microsoft AD. This all works very well, except to the fact that not ALL AD Users are mapped to my Unixbox! When starting getent passwd, my UnixBox shows just my User from passwd and some of the AD User - not all!! Looking through my User with the command wbinfo -u all AD users are shown correctly!

MuMIn - assessing variable importance following model averaging, z-stats/p-values or CI?
Dear R users, Recent changes to the MuMIn package now means that the model averaging command (model.avg) no longer returns confidence intervals, but instead returns zvalues and corresponding pvalues for fixed effects included in models. Previously I have used this package for model selection/averaging following Greuber et al (2011) where it suggests that one should use confidence intervals from

Drive mappings disappearing
Hi to all! I have another problem related to samba (2.2.7 on RedHat 7.3). Some users reported me that drive mappings are disappearing. I have enabled Reconnect at Log-On option every time when a Drive mapping was created. Any idea, suggestion? Thanx Zoltan Sutto

Cisco 7940 - Disappearing Clock - SOLVED
P.S. I _had_ read the other posts that suggest changing to unicast sntp mode. This didn't help. I eventually setup a new ntp server on my LAN, and used it as a sync source. Everything seems OK now. Obviously a problem with my other ntp server. Cheers. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Cisco 7940 - Disappearing Clock Date: Thu, 28 Jul 2005 11:50:35 +1000 From: Rod Bacon

Dovecot 2.2.16: disappearing messages, mismatched summaries, duplicated messages, excessive full re-downloads
Since you have confirmed that someone else you know is using it on FreeBSD+ZFS without these problems, have you tried asking on the FreeBSD support list(s)? Seems like that may be your best bet, since it is certainly not a generic dovecot problem (but may indeed be one or more of the settings you are using)... You could also go ahead and post the diff of your config and your friends (I'm

Disappearing Windows machines ...
After I enable Samba on my Linux box, the windows machines on the network slowly (over hours) start disappearing from view of the network neighbourhood and windows services provided by windows machines become inaccessible too. Within 24 hours, windows services are totally crippled. Initially everything works great. But it appears the Linux (Intel) box running samba (2.2.7, compiled from source)

Cisco 7940 - Disappearing Clock
This question is not actually * related, but please don't flame me! Is anyone out there using the 7.4 or 7.5 SIP firmware on their Cisco 79xx phones? I have a weird problem where my clock disappears after a period of time, and the only thing that will get it back is a reboot. Has anyone experienced this?

SIP peer disappearing
Hi all, I'm having this weird issue that I can't explain. Maybe someone can explain what is happening. This is a Asterisk install that has been in production for 6+ months. It's version 1.2.10. Couple weeks ago one SIP peer started disappearing randomly. And I mean it simply disappears. One second "sip show peers" shows it, and then it's gone. A simple "sip
