Printer connection question
Hello,
Is it possible to set up a printer on a Sun Solaris (sparc 2.6) machine
and have it properly print to an HP Laserjet printer without the use of
jetdirect?
I'm trying to print to an NT controlled printer using Samba on the Sun
machine. I've been trying to utilize the "smbprint" command, however I'm
having all kinds of problems.
On the Sun machine, I add the printer

DG/UX R4.20MU03
Has anyone had any experience with ssh and DG/UX? I tried the ./configure and
it could not determine the hosttype. After that problem was worked-arounded I
get a LOT of warnings about declaring functions multiple times and then the
compile fails with:

It seems my gcc compiler and fortran do not talk to each other.
Thanks in advance for any help,

build fails dumping R code in 'methods' on i686-pc-linux-gnu (PR#1630)
Using the same settings in config.site as were used for R-1.4.1,
R-1.5.0 fails to build.
./configure --enable-R-shlib
Using defaults and using PPro optimizations, the build failed in
package methods:

sshd 7.8p1 close connection from VMware Fusion NAT Port Forwarding
After upgrading my VMware Fusion (10.1.3) Arch Guest to the latest with
OpenSSH upgraded from 7.7p1 to 7.8p1, found that ssh from macOS Sierra
(10.12.6) host to Arch guest via local NAT port forwarding failed, but via
Arch LAN IP worked, downgraded OpenSSH from 7.8p1 to 7.7p1 fixed the
problem.
Any idea about this bug?

Installing packages
Hello,
I have upgraded from Mandrake Linux 8.0 to Mandrake 8.1 and try to reinstall
my favourite R... Everything is OK for the base software but I have trouble
to get some packages installed.
Specifically, for some packages, a "collect2" binary seems to be necessary
during the compilation/linking process of the library, and LD complains about
not finding it :

Need to add NIC drivers to PXELinux
Does anyone have a link to good instruction on have to add drivers to PXELinux? I imagine I need to cram them into its initrd.img file. I am using PXELinux to help me deploy Linux systems from WDS and we just received in a bunch of Dell R720xd systems that are going to require new NIC drivers and possibly Mass Storage drivers.
Thanks

Windows source client problems
I'm having trouble with sourcing from a live mic from a Windows machine.
I've used oddsock and ezstream, and both stream MP3 files to my icecast2
server with no problem.
I've checked and re-checked that my Windows recording device is the
microphone input (Volume control
settings/Properties/Recording/Microphone is selected as the recording
device). Windows Sound Recorder records

[LLVMdev] make error building llvm/clang 3.2 on Linux
Just in case someone is having similar problems and/or following this
thread, here's my final "solution" (at least, for now).
In my bash build script, prior to configure, I set the C_INCLUDE_PATH
and CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH to empty strings, and then set some other
environment variables instead:
export C_INCLUDE_PATH=
export CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH=

Press delete key three times in R-2.6.1 to get segmentation fault (PR#10892)

After compiling R-2.6.1 with gcc-4.2.1 pressing the 'delete' key three times in
an interactive session causes R to malfunction, spitting out an infinite stream
of errors. I have also replicated the issue in R-2.5.1:

Icecast2 Win32: any way to minimize on start or run as a service?
Is there any way to run Icecast2 Win32 at Windows startup and at least
one of the following: minimized, in the system tray, or as an NT/2000
service? I looked through the docs but couldn't find anything.
Thanks,
Ethan
