Serious problem
Hello,
For 1.5 month I installed Schedule+ under Wine, and everything worked
fine. My customer worked every day with it.
Yesterday it stopped working. I get an error while starting (translated
from Dutch):
------------
Microsoft Schedule+
A problem occured while initializing Microsoft Schedule+.DLL makes it
impossible to start Microsoft Schedule+. Maybe you need to install
Schedule+ again.

Schedule+ calendar success story
Hello,
Maybe interesting for other people googling the web:
I have Schedule+ 7.0 working under Wine 20050310 (comes with Debian
Sarge). This program is bundeled with all versions of Microsoft Office,
(mine comes from Office95) but most of the time hidden on the CD. It can
be used as a shared calendar. I copied the directory "Schedule"
directly, no setup program.
Important is, that you

Name Resolve Order?
I am a little confused. In the smb.conf man page under the "name resolve
order" section, it states that setting "name resolve order = wins" will be
ignored if the "wins server" parameter is not set. Elsewhere in the man
page it states that if you set "wins support = yes" then you cannot set the
wins server parameter. Does this mean that a machine that is

Virus scanner not scanning files on samba share
Right now, on our NT servers, I scan the users' directories nightly for
viruses. I've set up samba 2.05a on a linux server (rh 6.1). I've moved a
couple of users over for testing. Everything seems to be working great.
However, I cannot get our virus scanner (Dr Solomon) to scan files on the
samba shares. It recognizes the share, recognizes the files, but reports 0

Strange cursor and no difference between normal and bold
Hello,
I did an update to Debian 4.0 with Wine 0.9.25.
Now the cursor is changed to a hand in the application (Schedule+), and
I don't like that. What can I do to change the cursor in an arrow again?
Another point is a font. I don't see a difference between bold and
normal anymore. This is importanti in the application, because a bold
font means that there is an appointment on that

What project should I use ?
I am going to list my current plans for rebuilding a Law Firm?s network. I hope that someone will be able to tell me which project (samba or samba-tng) would be a better choice, or if staying with MS is the only choice. If my plan could be changed for the better, input would be greatly appreciated:
A lot of this information is useless for my questions, but I am throwing it in anyway.

1.9.16p11 and Windows 95 app conflicts
We installed Samba 1.9.16p11 on our Solaris 2.5 Sparc server here and we
are
having some difficulty getting Windows 95 programs to access the Samba
shares.
Many of the programs work, and we are dedicated to using Samba, and we have
a lot
of stuff out there, and we are using it effectively. But we have a few
problems with a
few programs.
One of the possible solutions to this problem is to upgrade

Scalix install on CentOS
Hey All,
I read on the list here not to long ago a work around for the following
error on CentOS for installing the scalix mail server...
Error: unsupported OS release: CentOS release 4.2 (Final) on x86_64
Someone posted a fix where you could edit a file changing the name of
the OS or something to fix this. Anyone remember which file it was I
could edit and what I needed to edit it too

MSWord97 installs properly but still won't launch (or save?) -- 3 more data files
Dear friends:
Forgot to include three more data files:

Thank you again.

I've been trying for some time to install my copy of Word97 (which I
own, having purchased it directly from Microsoft with my own license
number). I have tried the latest Wine 0.9.14. To do

accessing outlook pst files w/ samba
Hi,
I'm in the process of trying to convince my organization to move from an
exchange server, to a samba solution, while retaining their original windows
environments, including Outlook clients.
I thought I had all my issues covered, and suddenly I'm facing a show stopper.
it turns out that a lot of my users "documentation" has been stored on "public
folders" on the

I've seen it before on several occasions and yet the directory tree
was removed. I should just ignore it. I suspect that find or similar
is just getting its ordering wrong.

Problems on ssh and Cygwin
Hi,
I was given you name by a colleague of mine as someone who may be able
to help me with ssh and Cygwin.
I've set up Cygwin and ssh - but every time I run ssh it asks me for my
password. I want to set this up so I can use keys for the user and host
pair to stop this happening, but have had no success.
The id_dsa.pub file generated by ssh-keygen actually starts with
"ssh-dss",

TEST 3
If you get a "connection refused" response then the smbd server may
not be running. If you installed it in inetd.conf then you probably
edited
that file incorrectly. If you installed it as a daemon then check
that
it is running, and check that the netbios-ssn port is in a LISTEN
state using "netstat -a".
Note: You have xinetd not inetd on the redhat box. To avoid all

network. I did read somewhere on the web (several years ago) of a guy
who managed to boot windows from the net.
With the start of Win 98/ME/ etc.etc it's not posible anymore.
I currently use PXE to install machine from the net using bpbatch that
works great only bpbatch is not really under developnt and the script
language is a bit buggy.
I see only one option to boot windows from the net and

Linux Queue on Print Manager
I'm using Samba 2.0.5a on Debian Linux. I'm capable of printing through
Samba to the jet direct card of my HP LaserJet 4si, It prints
flawlessly, but I never see anything in the Print Manager on my NT
workstation, not so much as a flicker. I'd like to completely stop
using NT as a print server, but I can not do that until we have easy
control of the print queue.
