Password server loop
Hi Warren,
You will get this error if the name you have specified in the 'password
server=' smb.conf entry resolves to your own ip address. If you are using NIS,
and resolving username/password info there, then you would use security=user,
and would not have/need a password server = entry....
Hope This Helps,
Don Mccall

FW: RE: RE: file-permition samba vrs novell !
Hi Tom,
Same problem, different flavor - now you make the directory Executable by
ppsuser (you can cd thru it) but once you are there, you cannot SEE the files
in the directory (took away read access on the directory from the ppsuser
group...). Problem is that Samba does different things depending on whether it
is checking for the existence of a file or trying to open a file. Bottom line

re - problems with NT4 mounting samba shares on startup....
Hi Peter,
I have been running into a similar problem with NT clients attached to Advanced
Server for Unix. (a commercial SMB Server implementation) We still haven't
nailed it down yet, but in our case seems to be related to addon packages that
run as services and actually attach to the shares in question as a DIFFERENT
user than the user that originally attached to the shares. The

PRI problem
Hi guys,
I've been trying to get my ISDN-10 line up for the past few days, but
its been going up and down. I am using OpenVox D110P card on
asterisk version 1.4.21. It seems to me like a cable problem. I tried
using Ethernet straight cable (12, 45, 36, 78) and also a "straight"
cable where the twisted pairs are on 12, 34, 56 and 78. The problem
remains the same.

Cant create in a subdirectory...
I've battled this one for a few days now and its costing my sanity so I am
hoping that someone here has an answer
I am running the samba server 3.0.4 on a linux 2.4.25 server.
I can connect to my share point and authenticate fine
I can create files or directories in the root of the sharepoint fine
I can go into subdirectories and look at all the files...
But I cannot create in any

[LLVMdev] Do we abuse the "nsw" flag
Hi, There:
Clang fails to compile 254.gap @ CPU2000int suite. The symptom is
that executable fail to run
with reference input.
The root cause is that the compiler mistakenly optimizes expr "x * y
/ y" into x where the x*y is blindly
flagged with nsw without any analysis.
The preproceeded code is excerpted bellow:
cat -n integer.i

Difficult debug
I haven't done any R memory debugging lately, but
https://www.mail-archive.com/rcpp-devel at lists.r-forge.r-project.org/msg10289.html
shows how I used to have gdb break where valgrind finds a problem so you
could examine the details.
Also, running your code after running gctorture(TRUE) can help track down
memory problems.

Difficult debug
?I've hit a roadblock debugging a new update to the survival package.?? I do debugging in
a developement envinment, i.e. I don't create and load a package but rather? source all
the .R files and dyn.load an .so file, which makes things a bit easier.
? Running with R -d "valgrind --tool=memcheck --leak-check=full" one of my test files
crashes in simple R code a dozen lines

[LLVMdev] Do we abuse the "nsw" flag
This has come up before, and we just added -fwrapv to work around the problem:
http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20110131/115969.html
Are you compiling without -fwrapv?

Authentication fails - 3.0.26a-0.9-1787-SUSE-SLES9
I recently brought up our fifth Samba domain member server with
3.0.26a-0.9-1787-SUSE-SLES9 against an NT4 domain on a new subnet. The
subnet also has an NT4 BDC that is working correctly. Wbinfo and getent
both work properly but users can not get to the [homes] service but can
get to another share that is on the same system. If I setup a share
definition in smb.conf for myself as a home

dynamically create columns using a function
Hi,
I don't know about the lazyeval package or what you are trying to do but to
answer the main question "How to create columns dynamically using a
function?" I would do something like that:
# dataset
dem <- structure(list(id = c("L1", "L2", "L3", "M1", "M2", "M3"),
TEST_SET_NAME = c("A",
"A",
