similar to: SWAT reports daemons not running?

I just installed 2.0.4b on both of my Sun E4000's. The one is running fine. The other seems to be running fine too except SWAT reports that *mbd are _not_ running when they are. Moreover, the status page lists all the active connections while listing the daemons as not running. Stopping|starting|restarting does what is supposed to do but the status of the daemons is still listed as not

SWAT eroneously reports smbd/nmbd not working while they are working. And even more, the smbd/nmbd [start]/[restart] buttons have dissapeared. Why is that ? I have an e4000 and I want to shar just one directory that I use for storage purposes. I have set up the share and smb.vonf using swat. Hello, When I create a share with SWAT, it generally takes 5-10 minutes before I can browse to the share from an SMB client. If I kill the smbd and nmbd daemons and restart them manually, this of course, makes the shares show up immediately. If I select "security=server", there is no place to edit the "password server=" param, or at least not that I can find.
