I am really having a problem with my netlogon script. It is locking almost
on a daily basis. This did not happen before moving to 2.2.0. Anyone have
any ideas to help me. This is the smbstatus line showing me the lock

Help! NT not sending file to printer?
I've had no luck getting NT to print to my Samba-mounted printer.
Here's the scenario:
I have Samba set up properly enough so that I can see both disk and
printer shares from Network Neighbourhood, I can mount the disk shares
and use them, no problem. I can even Add a Printer without any
hiccups. But when I try to print the test page, NT pops up "Test page

[Fwd: problems with ppp]
Hi,
I installed CentOS 3.3 and kept the machine up2date.
I installed poptop and the newest ppp-cvs version (
ppp-2.4.3-0.cvs_20040527.6)
We are running a ssh + ppp tunnel for our internet tunnel/tunnel to our NOC.
After the upgrade we see these error messages while starting the tunnel:

Problem connecting to Samba server over PPP connection
Hi,
I'm trying to connect to my samba server over a PPP connection (which is
actually a PPTP VPN connection). I've got the PPP link configured and the
routing setup so I can ping back and forth between the server and client,
and I can also make tcp connections over the link. The server which samba is
running on has a LAN connection in addition to the PPP connection, and I can
connect to

ppp 2.4.1 pppoatm plugin. Here is a port of a previous version
Dear all
I have ported the pppoatm.c plugin for ppp version 2.3.x to the 2.4.1 ppp.
I am however having problems to decide what is the right place where to
send it.
I did look at http://www.samba.org/ppp and this seems to be the home page
for ppp
Then I did look for a mailing list the only one I have found is
majordomo@vger.kernel.org but I really don't know if that is official for ppp

[Bridge] Bridging two private lans w/ PPP and brtcl
Hi all, I'm trying to do the following (ASCII art diagram viewable in
fixed-width font at end of message):
Take 2 private LANs, seperated by the internet, and bridge them by
creating a bridge from 2 ethernet devices and a ppp interface tunneled
over ssh between the two linux boxes concerned.
The setup on each of the two networks is nearly identical, and is as follows:

FreeBSD PPP and WinBind
Hi,
In June there was some discussion of authenticating users against an
NT domain/ AD domain using ppp-2.3 and/or ppp-2.4. FWIW: I'm
referring to http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2006-July/
122419.html . At that time Andrew Bartlett of the authentication
development team pointed out that ppp-2.4.x supports the ntlm_auth
plugins necessary to perform the authentication, but 2.3.x

help with spatstat ppp transformation data
Hello
I am currently studying spatial distribution of lizards in Spain and
Germany. For this I am using the spatstat package of R to make a
Kolmogorov-Smirnov
test of CSR of unmarked points data.
I have problems transforming the data to ppp class, and I would like to know
if you can help me. I have already made the test with the data of
'japanesepines' that comes with the package, and

(continued) Can I browse the network through PPP?
Hi,
first of all, my apologies for the very technical and long nature of
this message...
I still do not give up with the problem I am having about not being
able to browse the Network Neighborhood sometimes. My original post to the
list was:

VPN over PPP - more detail
Hi All,
Let me try again, this time with fixed width !
First off the scenario. We have a local and remote site, both of which
connect to the internet via a wireless network. The wireless cards
themselves have both an ethernet (ixp1) and an "Atheros" (ath0)
interface. The devices connect via PPPoE, and so there is also a ppp0
interface on each device.
On one side we have :

On my FreeBSD 5.3.I have ppp-2.3 installed. Is it possible to use this plugin under 2.3 or I need move to Linux to do

PPP + ntlm_auth
Hello,
I'm trying to authenticate PPP (in fact l2tp...) users with Active
Directory (windows server 2003 DCs, mixed-mode domain) using winbind /
ntlm_auth. I'm using Samba 3.0.22, PPP 2.4.3, Kerberos 1.3.6, with
Trustix 2.2
What works :
- krb5kinit (and krb5klist -e)
- net ads join
- wbinfo -u, wbinfo -g, wbinfo -a user%pwd, wbinfo -p, wbinfo -t and
wbinfo -m
- getent passwd and
