Using custom QEMU binaries with libvirt
Hi all, I compiled a custom version of QEMU 2.0.0 and I am having hard times to make it available to libvirt. Just to clarify, if I execute /usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 it does performs good. But when I put this very same path to <emulator> tag in a domain configutation, when i start the domain I get error: Failed to start domain vm1 error: internal error: process exited while

SF site cracked ?
A new release, called wine 0.9.3, is available on Debian/Ubuntu directory of the sf site. However, such a release has not beeen announced : winehq.org still advertises 0.9.2 as the last release. Is this a legitimate release with a late announcement, or an intrusion ? Scott ? Emmanuel Charpentier

WinXP needs a lot of time to read files from Samba Share
Hi! After installing a SuSE 8.0 Enterprise with Samba 2.2.3a, I've a lot of trouble with accessing files on my configured Samba shares. If I want to open a file on one of the shares with a double click in the Windows Explorer (WinXP) it needs exactly 50 seconds (!!!) to REALY open that file. If I use an application - the file will be open immediatly. Another problem is, that I've now the

hiding the UNIX system name from Network Neighborhood
Hi, Here's the deal; Currently within our NT domain, Network Neighborhood can see our SAMBA server via both the "netbios" name (set with 'netbios name = vegas' from within the smb.conf file), plus the actual UNIX system name. We want our users to browse our SAMBA server only via the "netbios" name and not the actual UNIX system name. How can I configure

SAMBA/Network Neighborhood problem
Hello SAMBA gurus, I have SAMBA installed on a Linux box behind a Linux firewall. Also running behind the same firewall on the same class C sub-net is a NT 4.0 box. Hello all, Just a small question that I was unable to find an answer on the samba sites. Is it possible to hide the samba server on the Network Neighborhood? Something like setting the "Hidden"=dword:00000001 on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters] I'm not a member of the list, so if the replies could be sent directly to me it would be
