Problems using allEffects() (package effect)
Dear R users,
I have some trouble using the allEffects() function to compute and
display effect plots for a linear model.
My data is quite simple, it concerns effects of 3 treatments on the
tumoral volume of mice. vTum codes for the qualitative initial volume,
from small to big, temps is the time in month since beginning of
treatment, and S?rie codes for the batch. Data is unbalanced.

[R-pkgs] Probabilistic neural network (PNN)
Dear useRs,
I am pleased to announce the release of the new package PNN.
PNN implements the algorithm proposed by Specht (1990). It is written in the R statistical language. It solves a common problem in automatic learning. Knowing a set of observations described by a vector of quantitative variables, we classify them in a given number of groups. Then, the algorithm is trained with this datasets

Basic date time arithmetics operations
Hello,
For basic date time arithmetics operations, AFAK, there're
actually the function difftime() and the (dt + num) operations.
I'm wondering if other basic operations exist, like
add(dt, num, unit) where unit would be "y", "q", "m", etc.
Also for the function seq.dates (or seq.POSIXt), the
case for by="months" would be more useful if it

Re: [Xen-users] Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Backend device not found.
I am having the same problem, however on RHEL 2.6.16.
I have tried setting up the bridge manually but it does not work.
Can someone give some clues on what we should do to solve this problem in RHEL
Thanks
P. Krishna

truncated files on write with tftpd-hpa
I've been seeing a problem lately that I thought I'd run by this list to
see if it's familiar to anyone.
We've been running tftpd from tftp-hpa (at first version 0.29, but
recently version 0.34) on DigitalUNIX 4.0F, serving files off of an NFS
filesystem (from a very busy server).
The daemon is started as:
/noc/bin/tftpd -v -p -l -m /noc/etc/tftp.filename-translations \
