Superimpose Histograms
Hi all,
I have data which is represented as a histogram and want to add more
data / another histogram to this plot using another color. That is I
need to superimpose multiple histograms.
But have no idea how to do this.
Can anybody please give me a hint?
Thanks,
Andreas

why use lmhost is samba1.9.18.p7
Hello samba gurus
I have used samba1.9.18.p4 since jan/1998. I have FreBSD 2.2.6 and
samba1.9.18p4 worked just fine.
I read in bugtraq that a new version of samba has been released and I
thought in upgrade to samba1.9.18.p7
Well I did the same things that I did when I compiled samba1.9.18.p4
1.Edit the Makefile ( I edit the same lines as samba1.9.18.p4)
2.make
3.make installbin
Everything

New LLVM backend for Renesas RL78 MCU
Hi David,
>>Ah, so this is a commercially backed project?
Initially it wasn’t. I started to do this in my own free time and after I got something which I could demonstrate I can be much better than what we currently have with GCC it became part of my day to day job.
>>But relatively small? (are you the only engineer working on this?)
Yes I’m the only one working on this.

smbclient changed behaviour authentication-file
Hello,
we are using Sambadav[1] with Samba 4.4 in our university, which relays
on authentication-file with giving it a file descriptor.
After 4.4 this does not any more and requires a filename.
Is there something documented about this behaviour?
Is there a new way to pass a file descriptor for authentication?
Kind regards

[1] TRUE
isn't it necessary to distinguish beteen numbers and characters??

smbcontrol smbd ping also answered by nmbd and winbindd
Hello,
with samba-3.0.x an "smbcontrol smbd ping" was answered by all running
smbd processes. With samba-3.2.x it is now *also* answered by nmbd and
winbindd:
[root@cs00 ~]# smbcontrol -V
Version 3.2.5
[root@cs00 ~]# for i in `smbcontrol -t 1 winbindd ping | grep PONG | awk
'{ print $4}'` ; do pstree -p | grep $i ; done
winbindd(29908) - winbindd(29909)

New LLVM backend for Renesas RL78 MCU
Hi David,
Thank for very much for your reply!
I got a reply on the clang mailing list in April from Dmitri:
http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/cfe-dev/2020-April/065115.html
and following his advice “attaching pragmas as attributes to functions” I managed to do it, it was actually quite easy.

Require SMB3 encrypted transport on share level or globally
Hi,
is there an option in samba 4.1.x to have an smbd require SMB3 encrypted transport on share level? I can't seem to find anything like it.
Thanks,

New LLVM backend for Renesas RL78 MCU
Hello all,
For the past couple of months I've been writing a new llvm backend for Renesas RL78 MCU:

The software manual which contains all there is to know about RL78 is available here:

Problems with eepro100 or BroadCom NetXtreme and syslinux 2.04
Hi all!
We use pxelinux for booting a diskless Linux from whitch we install all
our systems.
But we discovered some Problems:
- With v1.75 the Kernel is fetched from the TFTP-Server with no problem,
but it gets not started on Broadcom NetXtreme with newer PXE-Bioses
- With v2.04, pxelinux even seems not to be able to fetch the kernel
from the TFTP-Server. This affects also Intel's

Multiple homedir entries in smb.conf ?
Hi list,
is it possible to add multiple homedir templates to smb.conf ?
I have a running linuxsystem where homefilesets are mounted
from different windows-servers to subdirs like:
/home/server01/home/USERNAME
/home/server02/home/USERNAME
/home/server03/home/USERNAME
The users come via winbind. In the smb.conf the entry for the
homedir:
template homedir = /home/%U
So how is it possible to
