Booting an ISO with FreeDOS over PXE with memdisk
I've got $SUBJ almost working except for the DOS bit where the CD needs
to be read.
My pxe config:
label Firmware
menu label Update IPMI firmware
kernel memdisk
append keeppxe raw iso initrd=<isofile>
The ISO is about 400Mb, and works fine when I boot it from an actual
CDROM drive. It also boots fine over PXE, I can see FreeDOS being
booted up etc. The problem is - once

Abeelabs Pagescript for clipper error "Unable to create file
Pagescript is a app that captures print from a old dos program (clipper) and sends it to a windows printer. The program starts ok, and get a print manager screen, but linux reports a file creation error. Pagescript is trying to create a spool file but can't. I already gave the directory full read/write permissions. Not sure if this is a wine error, dosbox, or pagescript problem. Pagescript

PROBLEM: log abort over RAID5
Several people already reported this at linux-kernel and
elsewhere with no answers, I thought perhaps this would be a more
adequate forum...
[1.] One line summary of the problem:
After I/O, journal is aborted and filesystems made read-only.
[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
One can't anymore write to the affected file systems. Upon
investigation, ext3fs journal was aborted

Mis-behavior of ldap.conf regarding nss?
Hello all,
I run a samba 3.0.26a-1ubuntu2.3 on an Ubuntu 7.10 server with OpenLDAP
both for samba and for posix accounts. Everything runs fine, except for
one problem. I have a ou=People-inactive branch on my ldap server on
wich I store (guess what?) inactive people. I don't want my system to
recognize those entries as valid users, so I set my /etc/ldap.conf as

window behavior
Hello people,
I'm trying to run a cobol application under wine and I'm getting several
problems with forms windows. Some forms windows in my app are appearing
larger than the screen size (800x600) but the wm don't let me resize
then to see all the form. I already try setting the font size to a
smaller size but windows still get larger than the screen. I also tried
changing from GNOME

Pxelinux/memdisk with Universal TCP/IP Network Bootdisk floppy
Just for the record, I want to let the list know that I succeeded in
booting a modified Universal TCP/IP Network Bootdisk floppy from
http://members.iinet.net.au/~bdriver/bootdisk/
I started with a Win98 Bootfloppy from http://www.tobs.uku.co.uk.
Then I made a disk image from this, using dd.exe from cygwin.
Then I converted this disk image from 1.44MB to 2.88MB with winimage.
Then I copied

when I print something from wine, the job goes to the server spool but gs dies with
"Unrecoverable error, exit code 1" and the job is aborted. If I print to file under
notepad and try to open that file with ggv it

[memdisk] collision between memdisk and emm386 (FreeDOS)
Hi
I'm using memdisk as part of CD Shell' isolinux. I've created custom floppy
disk image 8440kB size. I've put FreeDOS kernel and bootsector into the

The problems begin when I try to run FreeDOS memory manager emm386 from the
floppy image.
