Chnage of IP for the Samba PDC
We are changing the IP address of our Samba PDC this weekend (hostname remaining the same). Can anyone confirm (or deny) that it will not be neccessary for all PC clients to re-join the domain. Migrating from 1.9.19-prealpha
Hi, We have been using 1.9.19-prealpha very successfully for over a year and have just started migrating to 2.0.4b, the environment is Sun Sparc running Solaris 2.5.1 and NT 3.51 & 4.0(/sp3). On the servers that have been upgraded, the log files are filling up with some ominous messages, but curiously, users are not reporting any errors at the moment. The following are characteristic of

What is the latest version for Netware as I am on 2.6.3 and coming up against some of the documented problems that have been resolved in version 3 onwards? The problem I have is when transferring large files it causes the source server to run out of Memory with the following error 17-06-2010 1:00:02 am: SERVER-5.70-0 [nmID=6001D] Cache memory allocator out of available memory.

A bridge problem
We just went to replace the bridge/firewall services one one server with the same on another. It's pretty simple, and I literally cloned (w/ rsync) a third server that does this onto the one that will be the new one. Then copied the /etc/sysconfig/iptables from the one being replaced, and brought it up this morning. Nope. We had to put everything back the way it was. The new one sees the two

2.0.7 drives disconnecting
I am running Samba 2.0.7 under Solaris 2.5.1 (x86 and sun4). Various shares are setup, which get connected when users log on from their NT4 PC's. No problems as far as this group of users are concerned. We also have lots of users using Network Computers (NC's) who log onto TSE/MetaFrame servers. Unfrtunately, these bunch of users are encountering problems whereby some of their drives

hosted VMs, VLANs, and firewalld
I'm looking for some information regarding the interaction of KVM, VLANs, firewalld, and the kernel's forwarding configuration. I would appreciate input especially from anyone already running a similar configuration in production. In short, I'm trying to figure out if a current configuration is inadvertently opening up traffic across network segments. On earlier versions of CentOS

Corosync on a home network
I've been trying to build a model cluster using three virtual machines on my home server. Each VM boots off its own dedicated partition (CentOS 7.3). One partition is designated to be the common /home partition for the VMs, (on the real machine it will mount as /cluster). I'm intending to run GFS2 on the shared partition, so I need to configure DLM and corosync. That's where I'm

Kernel panic on nouveau during boot on NVIDIA NV118 (GM108)
We are working with new desktop that have the NVIDIA NV118 chipset. During boot, the display becomes unusable at the point where the nouveau driver loads. We have reproduced on 4.8, 4.11 and linux master (4.12-rc3). Dmesg log is attached. Is this a known issue? Anything we can do to help? network not accessible through bridged interface but traffic visible
I had a major HD failure and need to rebuild my host server and the virtual servers that resided on it. I am moving from CentOS 5.6 to CentOS 6.3. I am using the same configuration, as best as I can tell, that was working only hours ago on 5.6 but does not work on 6.3. My guest server can see network traffic on the bridged network device but I cannot seem to interact with it. Iptables turned
