curl and CVE-2013-2174
Dear members, It may sound a silly question. I have curl installed: # pkg_info |grep curl curl-7.24.0_3 Non-interactive tool to get files from FTP, GOPHER, HTTP(S) Today portsnap updated the ftp/curl port, and patch-CVE-2013-2174 appeared in files/, but the port version remained such that portaudit, and portupgrade still complain about curl's version. What is the recommended way to

Automatic printer driver installation for NT4.0/NT2000 clients?
Dear All, I've seen the PRINTER_DRIVER.txt doc on getting the PRINTER$ share set up to automatically add printer drivers to Win95 clients. It explicitly says that the procedure described does not work for NT4.0 clients. I can't find any other documentation on setting up a PRINTER$ share suitable for NT4.0 or NT2000 clients either in the distribution (2.0.5a) or the web site. Is this

YUP, this is the way that asterisk works. It is going to quelch all DTMF that goes out via a SIP gateway via asterisk. I spent a long time working this through and it has to do with the way that asterisk deals with DTMF and the DSP.c module that sits inband to the RTP/audio stream. There is a flag called DSP_DIGITMODE_NOQUELCH that is broken that might allow the inband DTMF after answer to work

Regarding Samba issue
I am experiencing a problem with all time stamps having the same date and time stamp. I found this bug report http://us1.samba.org/listproc/samba/June1998/0239.html and see there is a fix. The question I have is has this issue been resolved in later versions of Samba code. It would be easier to upgrade than deal with a code change and re compilation. werr_access_denied when running setdriver for a printer
Hi all, I'm getting WERR_ACCESS_DENIED error for some of the printers when running setdriver printer_name printer_driver as part of the cupsaddsmb step. Weirdly, it works for some printers, and never works for others, while all the printers have the same settings. Samba 3.5.20 with CUPS 1.5.4. Does this part of log give any clue of why could this happen? function print_access_check() --

NT Wkst auto printer driver installation
Hello all, Please forgive me if this is a FAQ, but I haven't seen it explicitly in any of the docs (although I find the Samba documentation EXTREMELY confusing and complex, so I may have missed it). Essentially, I have been able to follow the instructions in 'PRINTER_DRIVER.txt', and Win9x clients can install printer drivers for Samba shared printers instantly and easily. However

re: website samba.org is missing most of the documentation?
Although I've installed samba-common, -server, -doc version 2.2.7a (from the Mandrake 9 distribution), thr -doc RPM is broken since it actually didn't install any of the files it claimed it would. No problem, I thought, I'll just read it online. Except for some reason, in his/her infinite wisdom, your webmaster has apparently decided not to put most of your documentation on your

Problem connecting to samba shares
Hi all, I have installed samba on my IRIX 6.5 system and configured the smb.conf file but I get the following error each time I try to make a connection to the samba share: "You must supply a password to make this connection, Resource: \\topcondb\ipc$". I have added the Samba server to the NT domain and I have also created a user account that is common to the NT domain and the Topcondb
