Hey, probably an easy question but, I''m trying to get a method to run "before_destory" for a model, and I want the method to throw an error, and not delete the object from the database, if a certain condition is held Obviously, I can just raise an error and rescue it... but for some reason I can''t get <% error_messages_for ''model" %> to catch

I''m attempting to export data to an excel spreadsheet, and have done so successfully using RubySpreadsheet ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/rubyspreadsheet/ ) which is a port of the Perl WriteExcel module... Many of the methods however were left out, one of them being "insert_bitmap" and unfortunatley the bitmap is an important part

Ext3 -> Ext2 ?
Hi there, I tried to setup my linux box with an ext3 root file system. That failed because of wrong initrd settings. Sorry. Now the filesystem is marked having a journal but there is no /.journal file anyway. I tried to buikd that journal by hand (tune2fs -j /dev/hda3 - in my case). That fails also. :-( /sbin/tune2fs -l /dev/hda3 says: ... Journal UUID: <none> Journal

Matrix "BYTES" size
Dear R people. I´m facing a big problem. I need to create a matrix with 10.000 columns and 750.000 rows. matrix<- as.data.frame(matrix(data=0L, nrow=750000, ncol=10000) as you can see, the data frame has huge dimesions. I was able to find out about thr "L" in data, this way I´m telling that my data is "integer" class. By doing this object.size(matrix) tells me that this is

Migrating from mbox to maildir, which converter is compatible with dovecot
Hi, I'm testing/debuging the migration from mbox to maildir in a mailserver running Dovecot 1.0alpha5. I migrated all 472715 emails(in a test server) and later noted that dovecot could not get the same flags/status of the emails as in the mbox. I was using perfect_maildir.pl and I think its not dovecot fault. Seems to me that perfect_maildir.pl convert the emails in a way that dovecot could

Restoring a deleted/moved imap folder
Hi, one user of my imap server just deleted a whole folder, blame thunderbird I have the server disk and running Stellar Info for deleted files recovery. My cuestion is about how dovecot deleted an imap Maildir folder? The imap client is configured to move the deleted mails to the Trash folder, so I think dovecot would delete every Maildir email after successfully moved it. In the case a

All I need is simple load/unload and play/stop functionality. I'd also like to be able to stream from disk or mem. Other than the API reference I haven't found any example code, e.g. the sources for theora_player_example. Are these available
