/packaging/SuSE/6.0
Hie all,
I'm trying to use samba 2.0.4b on a SuSE 6.1 Linux box.
What should I do with these two files :
samba-2.0.0.dif
samba.spec
from the samba-2.0.4b/packaging/SuSE/6.0 directory.
Is there any modification to do to have samba running without
problems on SuSE 6.1 ?
Thanks for help.

Samba 2.0.3 with NT PDC as password server
Hie all,
I've got a Linux box set up as file server with Samba 2.0.3 and Kernel
2.2.2. The Linux box successfully joined the domain of the NT 4 PDC.
I set in the smb.conf security=server, in order to make my NT PDC
checking all passwords and users access. But what should I do on my
Linux box to make samba know that user bob on Linux is user BobThomas
on NT ?
Well, do I have to create 1

auditing/closecmd/smbwebstatus patch updates
I'd like to take a moment to thank the samba team for a painless upgrade
from 2.0.2/3 to 2.0.4. configure, make, stop, install, start. It was a
joy. Woo woo!
I've updated for 2.0.4 the patches for my auditing system, the close
command parameter and smbwebstatus.
Everything should be accessible at http://www.reac.com/samba/

changing hostname of the client ? (without un-joining)
Hello,
Using Ubuntu 10.4 LTS,
I am successfully joining this computer to a AD network (server = win
2003).
(using likewise)
I would like to try this : change the name of the (linux) client,
sothat the server takes this change in account : WITHOUT UNJOINING THE
DOMAIN.
With a XP workstation, it is easy to do it : XP just ask you to provide
a domain-admin login+password, and then the

blktap complaining what does it mean ?
Hi,
I''m a newbie to Xen.
I installed a DomO CentOS 5.2 and several DomU (centOS, Debian and
Ubuntu). It worked very well.
Yesterday I experienced a power cut. I now experienced some problems.
For example, when I start a DomU with the "xm create whatever_I_want"
command, I get :
Using config file nnnnnnn
tap tap-10-51712 : 2 getting info
Started domain xxxxxx

one DomU, 2 IP =>why ? any ideas,
Hi,
I needed to switch one DomU from one IP to an other tonight.
I''m on centos 5.2 (Dom0 and DomU)
Therefore, I made a script using perl to make so. This script modify the
IPADDR line in the following files :
- /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
- /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-eth0
- /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default/ifcfg-eth0
Then I reboot the VM and it

Question about samba 4 member server of a pure Windows AD
Hi,
A account created with samba3/ldap (created before 2014-02-20):

A account created with Users and computers (samba 4 AD DC)

minor tick marks
Hi !
I need a plot for data extending over several orders of magnitude on the y axis.
The following command generates a nice looking semi-log plot for my data:
plot(x,y,log="y",type="l",lty=3, ylim=c(0.01,2),yaxp=c(0.01,1,1),las=1)
I would appreciate having also minor tick marks in-between the 3 major ticks obtained with the above command. The "minor.tick" function
