Browsing
I am configuring Linux (2.0.33) as a local router. I am wanting to use Samba (1.9.18p3) to "manage" the browse lists on my network so that computers on each subnet can browse resources on the other subnets. My local network consists of Win95 and NT40 workstations with NT40 servers. My test configuration consists one token ring segment on one side of the Samba box (network .192) and

statistical prediction for glm()
hello, I apologize that I poste this question again but I did not receive any replies on this topic and would like to know if the mail has been read over or if there is no method of statistical prediction computation for poisson errors in glm(). I am looking for a way to compute the model prediciton error of a glm() with poisson error family. cv.glm() does not work. (it prompts values

Node yaml cache not refreshed ?
Hi folks, When running puppetd --environment whatever, the environment is not taken into account on the puppetmaster. This bug appeared after ticket #1130 got resolved and is certainly due to caching of the node terminus. Looking through the code didn''t help me understand how this yaml cache should get refreshed. On the puppetmaster, the cache files located in

How to force a cache refresh?
Hi all, According to the fine Samba manual in chapter 23: ---------------------------- To reduce the network cost of these lookups, Winbind uses a caching scheme based on the SAM sequence number supplied by NT domain controllers. User or group information returned by a PDC is cached by Winbind along with a sequence number also returned by the PDC. This sequence number is incremented by Windows

Sieve & Regex
Hi all I'm trying to create a new sieve rule. What I would like to do is catch "From" addresses that are equal to the rightpart (hostname) of a message-id. For example: Message-ID: <000d01c9d23a$941a7db0$6400a8c0 at upwabm> From: "Leanne Crabtree" <upwabm at blomberg-co.com> I would like to catch this mail, because it has "upwabm" on the right part

Samba 4 Client Directory Contents Refresh
Hello, Starting to use Samba 4 on RHEL 7. I noticed that new files do not get refreshed automatically for display in a Windows directory listing on Samba 4, and requires a manual refresh in Windows for them to appear. This behavior appears to be different from RHEL 5 (Samba 3), where new files appear automatically. Is there a new global directive in Samba 4 for an automatic directory content

Adding a 'refresh' value to the upsstats web page
I'd like to have the UPS status web page automatically refreshed. I've found a reference to using @REFRESH@ in the upsstats.html page, but as far as I can tell in looking at the code, somewhere I need to provide a value to the refreshdelay variable, and I see no way to do that other than changing the source code. I'm using nut 2.2.

refresh on change of link target
I''m trying to trigger a service to be refreshed when the target of a symlink changes. Here''s how it''s configured: file { "/etc/lighttpd/sites-enabled/$domain.conf": notify => service[lighttpd], ensure => "/nfs/www/$domain/etc/lighttpd.conf", links => follow, } This causes the service to be refreshed everytime puppet updates, even if the

domain name vs ip address causes refresh problem and lowercase vs capitol folder names - how to fix refresh issue?
I have Samba 3.022 and have run into a curious problem - when I access my shared folders over the internet using Windows XP, I get different behavior whether I put the domain name (e.g. \\mydomain.com) versus if I put my direct ip address in (e.g. \\12.34.56.78) when accessing my shares. First, the first screen listing all the shares is in all caps when using the domain name but in lowercase when

Samba 4 Client Directory Contents Refresh
Looks like you didn't really understand Marc's answer. This depends on settings on the Windows client. On the server side, this is not a question of changing behaviour, it's a question of Samba 4 supporting a new feature, SMBv2. I suppose that the only thing you can do on the server side is setting max protocol to SMBv1, which is really bad for performance and for security. People

refresh problems when doing folder redirection for desktop
Hello, I have refresh problems when doing a folder redirection for the desktop. My desktop is being redirected to H:\desktop (H=home directory on the server, not on the local machine) and it works fine. However, as soon as a new file is being saved on the desktop, I need to hit F5 to refresh the view, it is not being automatically refreshed (i.e. the file is not being shown). I read a lot of

creating variable that codes for the match/mismatch between two other variables
Dear all, I have got two vectors coding for a stimulus presented in the current trial (mydat$Stimulus) and a prediction in the same trial (mydat$Prediciton), respectively. By applying an if-conditional I want to create a new vector that indicates if there is a match between both vectors in the same trial. That is, if the prediction equals the stimulus. When I pick out some trials randomly, I get

old, deleted LUN still showing up after a virsh pool-refresh
Today I upgraded one of our KVM physical host servers to Centos 5.6. The other server remains on Centos 5.5. I've configured a storage pool in libvirt to use LUNs from an iscsi storage system as the volumes for each VM. After the upgrade, I decommisioned one of the VMs and removed the LUN from the storage system. Normally after this kind of operation, I simply need to run this command
