NetWare 6 sp4 server to windows 2000 server using cwrsync 1.2.1 when the cwrsync service writes the files to the server it uses it's own username and permissions. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get this to write the files so common users and delete and change stuff? would the perverse permissions work with windows? Hello folks - back on April 2nd I asked why my NT 4.0 with SP4 computer wouldn't connect to my old copy of Samba (1.9.16p9), while my neighbour's NT 4.0 with SP3 computer did just fine. Hi, I've upgraded an NT 4.0 Client from SP4 to SP5. Now I'm unable to mount a shared medium from the samba server, because the user authentication failed. After downgrading all things are well. I've found that the NT4WS (SP4) clients can log in if told to use a samba machine as a "workgroup", but that they can not find a domain controller if told to use "domain" logons.
