samba and os/2 "warpserver for ebusiness"
Is there anybody who has made experiences with "subject"?
I tried to get a samba printserver vers 2.2.1a on a suse linux box.
It worked successfully so my win 98 clients are able to print via cups
on an network printer.
We also have an existing os/2 "warpserver for ebusiness" as the PDC and fileserver
which one do the authentication of all users. I'm still not able to

Re: OS/2 Warp and eComStation
I can run OS/2 Warp 4 (no fixpak) as guest in native QEMU (non kqemu). I can also run OS/2 Warp 4 in a domu guest in XEN 3.1 on a Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) host.
A stripped down eComStation will also work in native QEMU but it will not run in XEN 3.1. When trying to run eComStation in XEN, at boot it will lockup immediately (at boot blob).
Any ideas or fixes that might help?
thanks

OS/2 Warp Version 4.0
Is anyone running Warp Clients out there. I am having some problems with
saving files and such as was wondering if anyone could send me a smb.conf
that is configured with OS/2 in mind. I have the Samba server running on AIX
and have had great success with Window 95, 98 and NT clients but seem
mystified by the OS/2 problems. I'm sure if I could look at a conf file I
could piece my installation

OS/2 warp 4 and Netware
I need to copy an ACII file from an OS/2 warp 4 pc to a Unix machine. I
know TCP/IP is configured correctly and I can get connected to the Unix
server through TELNET.
I need a permanent mount to the Unix machine as the file transfer will
occur every hour. I'm thinking of creating a batch FTP to connect to the
Unix server....but real unsure how. Is there a better way and is there a
way to

Oh, yes, you mean Network -> Connections or so? Strange enough, the

OS/2 Warp 4 Access Issues
Sometime not too long ago, I installed a new security release of samba on my
debian box. Shortly after, I realized that my OS/2 Warp 4 box was no longer
able to access the shares on my debian box. The OS/2 system is still able to
access shares on other (Win9x) machines.
I asked around about this issue on an OS/2 list. Although no one there was
sure what might have caused it to quit working,

New to Samba
Hi All,
For many years I have had an OS/2 box peer to peer Netbois over TCP/IP
connecting to either stand alone WIN98 or Dual boot with OS/2.
Now I've moved the laptops over to Linux. I installed Linspire which is
supposed to support Samba. Being new to Samba I have no idea what to to
put in the .conf file - on Linspire there's 5 of these files. All I have
changed is the workgroup

Set primary group of file on samba share from windows
Hi all!
I want to use 'acl group control' setting to delegate privileges to specific
administrators.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to set the primary group using windows file
permissions dialog, I can only add and remove ACL groups.
I tried to do this by removing all groups but one from Windows. This doesn't
work: the primary group has all privs removed and the extra group is

Just to be sure: Your real realm does not end with .local, right? In an another thread it was not recommended to use TLD .local. The wiki says this also.

I mentioned extensions because I had a few and saw them die.

OS/2 and eComStation
Hi,
Hoping someone can help me with some question on Xen
3.x and Intel VT (Vanderpool) hardware.
Can IBM OS/2 or Serenity Systems eComStation now be
run with Xen and Intel Vanderpool enabled CPUs?
If not, what is needed?
Are any drivers needed?
Do you know of anyone working on getting Xen to
support OS/2 or eComStation?

Samba + OS/2 LS read error
Hello!
We have Samba 3.0.7 on FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE, installed from FreeBSD
ports as server.
There is PC with OS/2 Warp Server for E-Business ("Aurora") in our LAN,
it uses shared resourses from Samba.
Problem: while OS/2 PC archives directories from network drives (from
Samba) archivation freezes on random file about a minute, and then
breaks with "Read error". The same
