matrix name
Hello,
Presently, we are able to add additionnal info to a matrix
thanks to the nice comment() and attr() functions.
Maybe I miss some other functions ?
Since there is a always a little remaining place on the
top left when one print a matrix,
I was wondering if it won't be interesting to offer the
possibility to show some information here,
I'm thinking on something like :

Exec file incompatible with hardware
Sorry if this is going to be one of those 'idiot' questions, but I don't
use Samba. It has always been on our server, chugging along beautifully
so no on ever had to touch it... Well, we consolidated servers and moved
everything to another server with HP-UX 10.20 (the previous server had
the same HPUX version so I thought I was in the clear), the samba
version is samba-1.9.18p2. I

daemon
Hi,
I am struggling with starting smbd and nmbd as daemon under
RH7.0. I made a file just like the example in the doc:
#!/bin/sh
/usr/local/samba/bin/smbd -D
/usr/local/samba/bin/nmbd -D
which I called "startsmb". Then I changed added the execution
permission and ran it, but it doesn't run as a daemon.
I also tried running both commands from the command line, but

samba documentation error
Hello I found an issue with samba documentation on the website and in
the source archive. The document states to use "-B" with winbindd.
There is not a "-B" option for winbindd... I think it was intended to
be "-D" ?
[root@server source]# /usr/local/samba/sbin/winbindd -B
Invalid option -B: unknown option
Usage: winbindd [-?] [-?SFDinV] [-?|--help] [--usage]

[LLVMdev] llvm/include/Support/FileSystem.h
This is a proposed patch to enhance FileSystem.h to add functionality (getting and setting permission bits and mapping an unmapping files). This implementation follows the N3365 proposal regarding permission bits.
This functionality is needed for my next patch which will implement llvm/include/Support/FileOutputBuffer.h which is needed by lld.

Actually I was wrong. The Windows and UNIX implementation disagree on
this point. I'm going to change it to match

Slow perl on CentOS - ActivePerl as a solution
Hi all,
I found out that one of my perl scripts is heavily affected by the
current bug. I was lazy to compile anything and I didn't want to mess
up my system doing some experiments, so I tried to install ActivePerl as
a temporary solution instead (RPMs are available). ActivePerl 5.8 is
approximately 73x faster that CentOS version and ActivePerl 5.10 even
slightly faster. Both versions and

Problem with syslinux booting via network in floppy image
Hi as described on the syslinux pxe webpage:
A multi-hardware boot floppy is included with Windows
Server 2000 and 2003. A company called Argon Technology
used to offer a free-as-in-beer updated version, but is
seems to have gone fully commercial. This floppy (which can
also be burned to a CD using El Torito in floppy-emulation
mode), is known to work with PXELINUX 2.03 or later only

Rprofile.site assignments occur in base package (PR#2448)
Not sure whether this is a feature or bug -- but it does not appear to be
documented.
R1.6.1 on Windows NT 4.00.1381
Objects assigned in the Rprofile.site file (e.g. foo<-'something') are put
into package:base not .GlobalEnv on startup. Objects assigned in the
.Rprofile file are put into .GlobalEnv. This doesn't seem consistent to me.
The objects exist in base only for the

I''m trying to do a little openid-server in rails.
I encounter a very strange problem for me, you can see all the story in the
openid mailing-list :
http://lists.openidenabled.com/pipermail/dev/2007-May/000666.html
http://lists.openidenabled.com/pipermail/dev/2007-June/000700.html
In short, the problem is :
the server has to do a "render_text body, :status => 400"

pb when posting to an action "render_text body, :status => 400" (resolved)
Sorry for my previous mail,
If I do
render :text => "test", :status => 400
instead of
render_text "test", :status => 400
every one (ie. mongrel & webrick) are working fine !
Sorry.

pb to install a NT4 DomU
Hi,
I use Xen 3.0.3-1 on a Debian Etch with LVM to store
my DomUs.
I already exploit a Windows 2000 in a DomU but I can''t
install a windows NT4 Server:
I have a death of Blue Screen during the installation
begining.
Did someone test that scary NT4 DomU with success?
I think NT4 need a disk driver but wich one? and how
can I give it one?
My last solution to test is:
