Hi, I would like to setup samba (v2.0.2) in "security=domain" mode (basically, acting just like an NT workstation). I understand you have to put the names of the domain controllers in the "password server" option. My only concern is that the hostnames of the domain controllers may change, and I would rather not have that break samba. Can't samba just detect that through

I'm a new linux user trying to run samba on Linuxppc R5 but smbd doesn't appear to be responding properly. Both nmbd and smbd are configured as daemons and netstat lists netbios-ssn as listening. HI, I have a problem when installing samba 2.0.3 on IRIX 6.4. If I use the standard IRIX C compiler with -n32 option, all goes OK. But if I use gcc with version egcs-2.91.60, then samba(d) does not run correctly: if I try to connect the smbd (with smbclient), I receive the output below.
