rejected our name registration of WORKGROUP<1d> with error code 6
Hi to all, I have a samba server that was working with security share in one subnet and now is listening on another interface, configured as a PDC logon server with wins support and w98 clients, I followed the howto: http://www.linuxfocus.org/English/March2002/article177.shtml The clients added to the domain execute the logon scripts fine, but they do not see the samba server in nethood, though

High Load Average on POP/IMAP.
Hi, We have a serious issue running on our POP/IMAP servers these days. The load average of a servers spikes up to 400-500 as a uptime command result, for a particular time period , to be specific mostly in noon time and evening, but it last for few minutes only. We have 2 servers running dovecot 1.1.20 , in loadbanlancer, We have used KEEPLIVE (1.1.13) for loadbalacing. Server

[LLVMdev] Cygwin debug build results
Your "make check" output has two classes of errors: 1. llvm-gcc or llvm-g++ not being found. Its possible this results from Cygwin requiring the .exe extension. The makefiles probably need to be enhanced to include the suffix. 2. You have a permissions problem on: test/Regression/Analysis/Andersens/Output/basictest.ll.out.script. The file couldn't be opened for writing. Possibly

Problems with a PDC
Hello, Perhaps I'm going to ask a stupid question, but it represents a problem for me :'(. My intention is to build a PDC with samba in a lan filled up with Windows clients. I have set up the Samba server and I can "mount" a directory from samba in a letter on a windows machine, such as g: for example. This works fine, but... I can't log in, or validate users, against the

Asterisk 1.0.2 - Unable to allocate channel structure
Hi, This morning I had some failed calls. On the console (and in the log) I saw the error "Unable to allocate channel structure". Before I restarted the process, I checked it's memory usage in ps and glanced at my free memory in top. Asterisk was using a normal ammount of memory, about 40M. I don't think this was a system limit. This was running Asterisk v1.0.2. Below is

imap-hibernate not working
Hi, I follow different setup instructions and I can't make imap-hibernate work. I've tried vmail and dovecot as users, tried to set mode to 0666, without success. I'm using FreeBSD 11.2. Is imap-hibernate compatible with FreeBSD 11.2? My operational system: # uname -v FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p9 #0: Tue Feb 5 15:30:36 UTC 2019 root at

CentOS 7, memory hungry (2.5GB) without user and heavy services running
Hello, The last weekend, the VM with CentOS 7 (kernel-3.10.0-327.28.2.el7.x86_64) was running with 2.5GB of used memory, but without users connected, and heavy services running. Three minutes after reboot, the o.s. is running with 114MB used. ?Why the 62% of memory is used if the o.s. does not have an intensive load? top sorted by memory: top - 12:55:34 up 8 days, 21:41, 1 user, load

LDA ignored
Hi, my final goal is it to make use Dovecot's sieve modul - but unfortunately I'm not getting the LDA running as it is described in the Dovecot's wiki pages ... ;/ I've more and more getting the feeling that the LDA section in the configuration is completely ignored, cause whatever change I do in there is not being recognized at all - I could just type wildly arround in there

File permissions
Samba 3.4.7-58.fc12, windows 7 client. I have a share where, if I right-click and chose "properties", everything shows up as "read only". I can un-check that, hit apply, and if I view the properties again, they are read only. Interestingly enough, I can go in and create files, modify files, rename files, delete files, etc.. However, some of the users' software checks

SMBD using nearly 100 percent CPU
Over the past few months, I have seen many postings here about runaway smbd processes with Samba versions 3.0.20 and above. Personally, it never happened to me until today. Also, I have stuck with Samba 3.0.13 on most of my machines because of THIS reported issue and a couple of other issues that I have experienced. However, I have a machine running RIGHT NOW where smbd has gone out of

Can''t boot converted SLES11SP2/OES11 domU
I have a physical SLES11SP2/OES11 system that I''ve converted to a domU. It''s boots ok as an HVM, but when I try to boot as a PV it gets stuck. I have the kernel-xen packages installed and confident the menu.lst is correct. If I look at xm console for the VM I get the output below: Any ideas? Backgroundrb spiking CPU after first run on Mongrel cluster
I''ve been troubleshooting this problem for several hours now and haven''t been able to figure out what''s wrong. I have two boxes, dev and prod, both are identical except that prod uses Ruby 1.8.5 and dev uses 1.8.4. Both are running Slave 1.2.0, Daemons 1.0.5, and Backroundrb 0.2.1. The behavior I''m seeing is this. When I first start Backgroundrb, this is what

FreeBSD not-so-stable
I have a FreeBSD 4.8-Release machine that I upgraded from a 4.5 or 4.4 machine. It works just great for about 9 days, then processes will not die. It starts to become a problem when I can't kill processes, restart services, connections hang, and I can't reboot or shutdown, I have to do a hard reset. I can't really find anything in the logs to indicate what is giving me
