It worked before, now it doesn't
Hello,
I had Samba 1.9.18 running on my Slackware system just fine. I backed up my
smb.conf, then downloaded and installed the precompiled 2.0.3 binaries from
the Samba website. I installed by moving the samba-2.0.3-Slackware.tar file
to the root, and then by running tar -xvf on it. The samba daemons were
stopped at the time. I copied my backup smb.conf back to /etc, and then I

Errors Question
Today we have been having some problems with the dchannel of out T1's.
I was wondering if there is a way for asterisk to send out an email or
page whenan error occurs. Not I know errors happen quite offen for many
reasons, but I would like an email sent when there is a TI problem, or
specefic other problems. I am using the safe_asterisk to run asterisk
and it sends an email when asterisk

manipulation extra features which hypervisors support
Hello everybody,
I am wondering if libvirt community implement features specefic to only one
supported hypervisor?
I am trying to set the host name and DNS from within the libvirt xml file
in user mode network option (SLiRP).
Right now I am using the <qemu:commandline>.
My concern is if I want to use Xen or other hypervisors, how I should do
the same.
To be honest, I have not used any

Problem with blind transfers
Hi,

I am having an issue under a specific circumstance with Asterisk 1.4.26.1,
using blind transfer.

If my SIP phone dials a number (so I am the caller, happens on both Polycom
phones and eyeBeam softphone), do a BLIND transfer to another nuber
(internal or external) ${CDR(accountcode)} is NULL fo the rest of the
dialplan.

My dialplan logic depends heavily on knowing the accountcode.

Windows XP SP2 slow printing solution
Hello all,
I spent a couple of days figuring this out, and I found some related
posts without solutions, so I figured I would sent this to the list.
We run a small local network here with a mixed bag of Windows
XP / 2000 / Linux clients. We have been using Samba to allow access
to a set of shared printers using a linux server. We also have a
separate linux server that handles our file serving

Subsetting data by eliminating redundant variables
Dear All,
I am new to R, I have one question which might be easy.
I have a large data with more than 250 variable, i am reducing number of
variables by redun function as in the example below,
n <- 100
x1 <- runif(n)
x2 <- runif(n)
x3 <- x1 + x2 + runif(n)/10
x4 <- x1 + x2 + x3 + runif(n)/10
x5 <- factor(sample(c('a','b','c'),n,replace=TRUE))

creating a callinst to an external function
Dear All
I'm making an instrumentation pass. The pass is supposed to modify the given IR in a specefic way. One of the required modifications is to insert a call to a function at a specific location.
This is the signature of the called function:
      void myclass::foo(Function *f, BasicBlock* b)
This function's prototype is in an foofile.h file in include/llvm
And the function

Seagate announces enterprise SSD
FYI,
Seagate has announced a new enterprise SSD. The specs appear
to be competitive:
	+ 2.5" form factor
	+ 5 year warranty
	+ power loss protection
+ 0.44% annual failure rate (AFR) (2M hours MTBF, IMHO too low :-)
	+ UER 1e-16 (new), 1e-15 (5 years)
	+ 30,000/25,000 4 KB read IOPS (peak/aligned zero offset)
	+ 30,000/10,500 4 KB write IOPS (peak/aligned zero offset)

Seagate floppy creator program doesnt work
Hi there,
http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/download/seatoold_en.exe
Seagate offers a Windows executable (needs Win98 or better, 1,9MB) that
should create 2 bootable floppy disks that contain a harddrive check
program.
Invoking "wine seatoold_en.exe" works, but when the floppy should be
written, an error occurs "insert 1.44 MB...click retry". I tried to
