Hi All,
Just about to set up RoR on our server and was wondering what the
ideal setup for RoR is these days? Apache 1? Apache 2? fCgi?
Any guidance would be helpful!
Thanks,

Forget SMB password immediately
Hi,
I'm new to CentOS and also on the list, since I usually work with Debian. My problem is as follows:
I have a NAS where users connect to do their backups. Each user has a folder shared where only he can enter. Multiple users get connected from a CentOS 5.7 to the NAS, each in its shared folder.
I connect to the NAS by entering the login, password and shared folder of user A (here I

Problems with lattice plot
Hello useRs,
I have some problems when I try to plot a lattice. The lattice has 200
columns (X value) and 5 rows (Y value), with a total of 1000 squares. I
want to plot this lattice with the squares having different colours
according to a variable value.
The variable I want to plot is cover value of a shrub, and it has values
between 0 and 1. I want to plot the squares with value 1,

to R Core T: mle function in 32bits not respecting the constrain
I have an issue using mle in versions of 32 bits.
I am writing a package which I want to submit to the CRAN.
When doing the check, there is an example that has an error running in the
32 bits version.
The problem comes from the mle function, using it with a lower constrain.
In 64 bits version it works fine but when I put it in the R 32 bits it
fails. (same numbers, all equal!)

Server 2016 locked in paused state
Hi all,
I have a number of production Windows servers on KVM/DRBD and two of
them are Server 2016. Both these guests have started exhibiting the
same behaviour where they enter a paused state and will not resume.
The behaviour is the same whether I use virsh or virt-manager. My only
recourse is to force the guest off and start it again. This brings the
host up temporarily where upon it

Please Help! Re: Using smbpasswd (fwd)
I am trying to get encrypted passwords working for a Linux/Samba server
serving Win9x clients. We want the students to be able to logon either
the Samba file system or the Linux server and allow the students to
change their password from either. I would really appreciate any help
on this matter. We need to get this working as quickly as possible as
the old Netware server is on life support.

Failed to modify entry for user in samba with tdb backend
I have a debian server with samba. I can no longer manage users accounts. I
can't add, modify or remove them.
This is Debian wheezy with samba 3.6.6. There is no ldap and the database
backend is tdb. I usually managed users with smbpasswd, but it no longer
works.
When I try to create a new user:
# smbpasswd -a blabla
New SMB password: ****
Retype new SMB password: ****
