Win95 won't work with Samba 2.0.2
Hmmm... I've sent a couple of questions to the list recently, with no responses. Are my messages getting out? Since upgrading to 2.0.2, our Win95 boxes are having problems accessing shares. WinNT works perfectly. Win95 worked fine with 1.whatever, but now it can only see files that are actually in the share directory. It can see subdirectories of the share, but they appear as empty

Multivariate multilevel mixed effects model: interaction
Hello. I am running a multivariate multilevel mixed effects model, and am trying to understand what the interaction term tells me. A very simplified version of the model looks like this: model <- lmer (phq ~ -1 + as.factor(index_phq) * Neuro + ( -1 + as.factor(index_phq)|UserID), data=data) The phq variable is a categorical depression score on 9 depression items (classified by the variable

Reg: ggplot error
Hallo I am not familiar with any of packages you use (except of MASS and ggplot2) and the code is too complicated without any hint where the error could come from and what is the message you get. I wonder if anybody would like to go through your whole code. 1. data seems to be read correctly ICUData <- read.csv(file = "ICUData.csv", stringsAsFactors = TRUE) ICUData.neuro <-

Library issues (BOUNCE vorbis-dev@xiph.org: Non-member submission from [rob@emusic.com]) (fwd)
BTW, I need a volunteer to upgrade xiph.org to MailMan or the like. I'm officially sick to death of majordomo. (Or, if you want to code all the features I want in majordomo, that's fine too ;-) I'm a little bit out of time, see.... ------- Forwarded Message Sender: robert@emusic.com I just brought the FreeAmp codebase up to speed with the latest Vorbis source. xyplot type="l"
Probably a stupidly simple question, but I wouldn't know how to google it: xyplot(neuro ~ time | UserID, data=data_sub) creates a proper plot. However, if I add type = "l" the lines do not go first through time1, then time2, then time3 etc but in about 50% of all subjects the lines go through points seemingly random (e.g. from 1 to 4 to 2 to 5 to 3). The lines always start at time

Dependences issues
Hi, I don''t know if anyone has ever met a similar issue, trying anyway. I''ve added gettext support to Typo during the week-end and done the translation in French. It works like a charm when I start Webrick, but crashes when I use Apache + fastcgi. It doesn''t seem to find gettext. Any idea someone? Regards, Frederic -- Fr?d?ric de Villamil "Quand tu veux

libogg++ release 1.1.0
Hi Elaine, I flipped through some of the code but wasn't really about to determine this: Do you also support Skeleton in libogg++ ? If you are creating multitrack Ogg files, they should contain a skeleton track to identify the different contained tracks. http://wiki.xiph.org/OggSkeleton And if the files aren't audio or video files, you should then use the extension .ogx

reshape and geeglm problem
Dear R users, could you please help me figure out why I am getting an error? Initially my data looks like this: > attributes(compl)$names [1] "UserID" "compl_bin" "Sex.x" "PHQ_base" "PHQ_Surv1" "PHQ_Surv2" "PHQ_Surv3" [8] "PHQ_Surv4" "EFE"

libogg++ release 1.1.0
Hi everybody, I posted here about two years ago about the initial release. This is a release that fixes many bugs, and has enhancements that make it possible to support a multi-stream format, ALingA, which I will mention briefly later. It also supports a PCM format, Neuro, both as part of the multi-stream codec, and stand-alone. libogg++ is a C++ library implementing Ogg. It is designed to be

Controlling Cisco 7960 Ringtone from Asterisk
I'm trying to change the ring tone on my 7960 from the dialplan. I've tried the example on the wiki but it doesn't seem to work. Something like: exten => 3010,1,SetVar(ALERT_INFO=<Bellcore-dr1>) ; selects Ringer exten => 3010,2,Dial(SIP/3010,15) I'm not sure what the Bellcore-dr1 ringer is supposed to be. I've tried replacing ALERT_INFO with another ring tone

qcc package & syndromic surveillance (multivar CUSUM?)
Dear R Community: I am working on a public health early warning system, and I see that the qcc package allows for CUSUM and other statistical quality tests but I am not sure if my project is a good match for qcc functions as written. Any advice you may have is very much appreciated. I have four years worth of daily counts of emergency room admissions for different conditions (e.g. respiratory,

Problem with parsing a dataset - help earnestly sought
Dear fellow R-help members, I hope to seek your advice on how to parse/manage a dataset with hundreds of columns. Two examples of these columns, 'cancer.problems', and 'neuro.problems' are depicted below. Essentially, I need to parse this into a useful dataset, and unfortunately, I am not familiar with perl or any such language. data <- data.frame(id=c(1:10))

Hi, Silvia. I studied your multi-track work when I was working on ALingA. It was a valuable guide. No, libogg++ tries

AHRQ - Creation of Comorbidity Variables
If there are any other users who use AHRQ's SAS code comoanaly2010 and comformat2010 to create comorbidity variables, I thought you might be interested in the following PRELIM code we wrote to mimic its functionality in R. It seems to yield similar results, but may contain errors. Please feel free to comment (kindly) or enhance. I'm sure there are better ways to skin this cat, but we at

where is subscribed list stored?
I'm using $ /usr/sbin/dovecot --version 2.0.15 on $ cat /etc/fedora-release Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) and version 8 of Thunderbird. I use dovecot locally for internal only access to my email archives, of which I have many gigs of email archives. Over time I end up subscribing to a couple dozen different IMAP email folders. Problem is that periodically my list of subscribed folders
