Hello. I'm new so forgive my ignorance of previous ideas.
One thing I thought might be useful for Markdown was logic that converted certain text to <del> tags. Since Markdown is often used as a way to transfer information from email and there is a convention for simulating deleted text in email it might make a nice addition. Example: I really love^H^H^H^H hate you. becomes, I really <del>love</del> hate you.

Clustered Samba: Every 24 hours "There are Currently No Logon Servers Available"
All, i have this very weird and annoying problem in my clustered setup: every ~24 hours the vista clients cant login, or even unlock there screens anymore. The error they receive is "currently no logon services available" this is very odd, because i have 2 samba 3.5.8 servers available, running and configured to handle login requests. in the mean time the people that are logged in

Problem Upgrading to R 3.5 on Ubuntu 18.04
Thanks Dirk!? The prior install and updates had been running fine for so long I forgot all about the documentation on Renviron, Startup, etc.!? Thanks.? Will changing the libPaths in Renviron.site help with the issue that the operating system doesn't seem to recognize the installation re: message that the "software is not installed" when I tried to remove it?? Listening for DTMF when dialling (sorry, accidentally sent the previous message too early!)
Hi all, I want to set up an extension which dials a group of phones while at the same time plays a message ("Press 1 to leave a message") and listens for DTMF. I haven't played around yet but the way I read the docs this isn't possible as the dial command doesn't have appropriate options and takes complete control of the channel. However surely this is a normal thing to want

Sorry! Previous subject was cell means model in LME
Hi everybody I want to specify the contrasts to build a cell means model on LME (each coefficient is the mean value of the independent variable for the specific category of a factor variable) when there are several factors as fixed effect in the model and also interactions between them. Can anybody give me a hint on how to do accomplish this? Also, how can I override the default

wbinfo fails with disable netbios = yes
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this one. Ever since beta3 I've been unable to get wbinfo to work properly. I finally worked around it today, and it seems that with the disable netbios = yes parameter in my smb.conf file, I get no results. Commenting out that parameter seems to work fine. It looks like the DNS queries for DCs is unsuccessful without NetBIOS enabled. I'm

A pre/post execution question
If I have an operation, such as an RPM install, and I have certain mounts that are read-only, how should I go about making sure that they are read write prior to an update? For example: 1. Re-mount file systems as read write. 2. Perform RPM updates 3. Re-re-mount file systems as read only. I got to thinking about this when I saw the post about automatic remounting after changing mount options.

latticeExtra tileplot question - tiles are not all the same size, need help.
Hello, I have been creating many tileplots to try and illustrate the relative abundance of fish through space and time. My issue is that the tiles that border the plot are smaller than those in the center of the plot. In the example I've provided the effect is pretty minor (I'm hoping this will be an adequate example as I had the code already created/data uploaded). However, I have other

nicecast licence
hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me how the Nicecast licensing works. http://www.rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/ Nicecast, as it seems to me, uses Icecast as an internal server. They list Icecast in their sources dir: http://www.rogueamoeba.com/sources In their manual they also credit Xiph with the statement: "Portions of this Rogue Amoeba software may utilize the following copyrighted material,

Repairing Wine install...
Welp. I totally hosed my Wine installation. I am brand new to Linux. I recently installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my Dell Latitude d630 and I am trying to get Wine working. A Short History: The first time I installed Ubuntu something went wrong and I had to uninstall & reinstall it to get it working. Now when I turn on my PC there are two versions of Ubuntu in the boot menu along with Windows XP
