/var/spool/asterisk/outgoing/ prematurely hanging up
I have a PSTN termination provider "foo" which will accept standard U.S. calls in the form 1<10 digit ph#>. I have an outbound route named "foo", with dial pattern "5|.", with the only entry in trunk sequence being "IAX2/foo". I have an X-lite local extension, on which I can dial 51<10 digit ph#>, and asterisk will call out over foo and the

Statistical tests and measures for "cone-like" distributions?
Hi, Are there any special statistical tests, or functions in R I could use to measure "cone-like" distributions? I have several data-sets, which I've been plotting parts of as 2D plots, where I get a "cone-like" distribution of the data points. That is, the data appears to be bounded by two non-parallel lines, starting at the origin, giving rise to a

[LLVMdev] Reviving the new LLVM concurrency model
C++ and Java memory models impose restrictions for locks and unlocks, such as a thread that releases a lock must acquired the lock, or the number of locks must be larger than the number of unlocks in the same thread... for enabling some optimizations, for example, simplifying trylocks (http://www.hpl.hp.com/techreports/2008/HPL-2008-56.html), and moving some instructions inside lock acquires

Feasibility of Tinc vpn with my current setup.
Thanks for the reply Guss, So in my case the Amazon VPS server is behind a FULL CONE NAT(static NAT), so is that enough to hole punch other nodes. what all ports will should be opened up on the NAT device? Most of the other nodes are behind cg-nat, so I wont have any control over its nat. Thank you, Regards, Bobby Thomas. On Oct 19, 2015 1:45 AM, "Guus Sliepen" <guus at

Wired Interactions between Asterisk (Public) and Budgetone (behind NAT)
Hi, I recently encountered a weired situation where my budgetone stopped working. My network is like this: Asterisk on Public IP ----------- ADSL NAT Router ----- GS01, GS02, GS03 on Internal IP We have an Asterisk server running with a public IP address, which serves as the master PBX. On a remote site, we have 3 Budgetones all having internal IP addresses assigned by the ADSL NAT router. The

Dovecot first impressions
Hi, I have only recently become aware of Dovecot and gave it a try. The previous 0.99.9.1 version didn't work well for me (OpenSSL), I dropped it, but 0.99.10 has come just in time (saw it on freshmeat) and I thought I'd give it another try if it promised SSL fixes, and it's sorta working for me (i. e. it works with mutt, Mozilla, sylpheed, but not cone -- but cone is beta and has SSL

Child Domains
Hello, I think you got lots of answers w.r.t. feasibility, but none w.r.t. desirability ("Is this a good practice") ? I?d not do it. Your organization might relocate, or employees might switch locations. This can add a lot of unnecessary confusion for others. What prevents you from having a single domain? Or at least structuring on a criteria that is more relevant in the long run?

grandstream and stun
Hi, I noticed some issues with how grandstream handles stun test. GS is running version 1.0.4.50. First I reset the NAT router. Then reboot GS, get results of "restricted cone". Immediately reboot GS, get results "full cone". I tried quite a few public and commercial stun servers. Also tried different model/version of linksys routers. I always got the same issue. Winstun on

OT -- isotonic regression subject to bound constraints.
Well, I could argue that it's not *completely* OT since my question is motivated by an enquiry that I received in respect of a CRAN package "Iso" that I wrote and maintain. The question is this: Given observations y_1, ..., y_n, what is the solution to the problem: minimise \sum_{i=1}^n (y_i - y_i^*)^2 with respect to y_1^*, ..., y_n^* subject to the "isotonic"
