[LLVMdev] TTA-based Co-design Environment (TCE) v1.5 released
TTA-based Co-design Environment (TCE) is a toolset for designing
application-specific processors based on the Transport Triggered
Architecture (TTA). The toolset provides a complete retargetable co-design
flow from high-level language programs down to synthesizable VHDL and
parallel program binaries. Processor customization points include the

[RFC] Nios II backend
Hi,
I'm from Intel compiler department.
I am proposing the integration of a backend targeting Nios II processor architecture.
Nios II is a 32-bit general-purpose RISC processor core designed specifically for the Altera family of FPGAs.
All information at about Nios II can be found at Altera website https://www.altera.com/products/processors/support.html, including the current ISA

Unable to find drives - Centos 4
Installing the Centos 4 release onto a supermicro server with the
Adaptec 2015S card (channel 0) but unable to find the hard drives
even after loading the Adaptec 79** series driver?
Centos 3 loads without issues.
Has anyone had similar problems?

Bug in Samba v2.2.8a with Windows API GetFileAttributes ?
Before my company was bought out by another company, we were using Samba
v1.9.3 and I'm pretty certain that the GetFileAttributes was working
properly but I can't be absolutely sure. Since the move, we're using v2.2.5
and just recently upgraded to v2.2.8a on Solaris 2.7. I'm doing my testing
on an XP machine.
I'm seeing that GetFileAttributes is always returning 0 instead of

What goes to Hardware ?
Hi people,
As I said before: I did the IDCT to run on the FPGA.
My friends from university did the Reconstruction routines running on the FPGA.
I'm helping with the LoopFilter, and it is almost there.
(all VHDL)
I did a small profiling of the libTheora running on a Altera Stratix II device:
The processor used was the NIOS II with 8Kb of data and instruction

Crystal Reports in ROR application
Hi,
I want to use Crystal Reports in my ROR application. The way I am
planning is to create an XML file and send the file as the input for the
Crystal Report application.
I believe there is no API in ROR to access the crystal reports. I am
using Crystal Reports 11.
I am planning to access the crystal report via command prompt from ruby
code.
Can anyone please help me how to achieve this???

alternative to Crystal Ball ?
Dear R users,
I am looking for R packages that would best approximate Oracle's
Crystall Ball [1]. For those not familiar:

optimization. [..] Crystal Ball is used by customers from a broad

AT Scheduler fails to xcopy to SAMBA volume but mapped NTFS shares OK
Hi,
I have a very simply batch file that simply copies a 300M file to a SAMBA
volume but the job fails if run via the NT scheduler.
Manually running the batch file (ie double clicking in the file manager)
works fine as does changing the destination to another "real" NT Share.
The problems only occurs on SAMBA volumes and not when using another share
from another NT.
The batch file

Dave,
Thank you for your interest. Please see my replies below. Sorry that my
terminology is not as crisp as Andy's, but I think you can see what I mean.

Crystal Reports
We need to generate the crystal reports dynamically from ROR
application. I believe we need to pass the xml to the crystal report
file.
Any one knows how to call the crystal report template file dynamically
from
rails application and pass the xml data to the crystal report.

is_stmt and column numbers
It appears to me that from this:
https://iis-git.ee.ethz.ch/H2020-Compiler/llvm/commit/1d68fc5021ca8c704e21f171d98bb18eb396a7fa
That LLVM basically emits DWARF expressions where is_stmt is true only
"once per line". Is that still true? Is there an option to emit more
than one per line?
Thanks all.

fractal dimension of an image
Hello, I have a problem that I think can be solved in R but I'm not sure
how to tie things together.
I have a digital image of a crystal growth in 2 dimensions. And my aim
is to calculate the fractal dimension of the crystal. I was planning to
use the box counting method.
So I need to read in the image in R (for which I can use the pixmap or
rimage packages) and then draw a grid over at a

Help - rsync runs from command line, fails from task scheduler, hangs at msg checking charset: UTF-8
I don't get why it runs from the command line but not from a scheduled task.
Any suggestions for a fix or a work-around?

Anyone?: got Altera Quartus II version 9 SP 2 working?
Hello All,
I'm new to Wine and this forum so please be gentle.
I'm trying to run the freely available web version of Altera Questus II Version 9 sp2 in Ubuntu linux, unfortunately without any luck.
I can install and run quartus.exe.
However if I make a project and press "compile" I get a error:

ipv6
Hello,
I''m reading this guide on ipv6 (really just getting my "feet wet"):
http://www.shorewall.net/6to4.htm
In the section "Configuring IPv6 using my script" I can read that the IPv6 interfaces are:
INTERFACES="eth2 eth4"
and that correlates fine with the first diagram/figure.
However, further down I read "You will notice that sit1, eth0 and eth2
