virsh and bash scripts
Hi, I'm looking for a way to use virsh to connect to vCenter/VCSA and do some simple management of the VM's in case of power loss (I'm planning to run the script upon UPS/apcd event of power failure). Looking through the virsh documentation, I didn't find 2 things: 1. Login through a script (I don't see any user/password, specially since VCSA for example requires to use

Quota Question
Hi, I have several Samba servers running on Linux (Debian Etch) machines using 2.6.18 kernel. The Samba shares are all on an XFS filesystem, with user and group quota support. I have three problems/questions: 1. When a user hits their quota limit, they get a "disk full" error. 2. When a user checks the free space of the share, they see the space on the entire share, rather than the

This doesn't happens in a specific song or audio, it mostly happens after several calls to vorbis_analysis. This also doensn't happens, at least so far, at 11025, 8820 or 44100. Also, it doesn't seem to happen at low qualities (0, -0.1). The exception is generated in

Extracting Plot Arguments
Hi All, I'm building an autograding framework for my biostatistics class this semester, and I am exploring different ways to automatically grade figures. In other classes, I teach ggplot2 and I extract information directly from the ggplot2 object. However, in this class we are using base R and I need to extract information from base-r graphics. I've tried several different approaches,

parRapply and parCapply return a list in corner cases
According to ?parCapply: parRapply and parCapply always return a vector. This appears not to be the case in the following minimal reproducible example: > library(parallel) > nslaves <- 2 > cl <- makeCluster(nslaves) > X <- matrix(2,nrow=3,ncol=4) > X <- rbind(c(1,1,0,1),X) > tv <- parCapply(cl,X,FUN=function(x){ +

Capturing Function Arguments
I'm wrapping a function in R and I want to record all the arguments passed to it, including default values and missing values. I want to be able to snoop on function calls in sourced scripts as part of a unit testing framework. I can capture the values fine, but I'm having trouble evaluating them as if `force()` had been applied to each of them. Here is a minimal example: f0 <-

full-d] Administrivia: List Compromised due to Mailman Vulnerability (fwd)
Sorry for the cross post, but this is an important one potentially affecting all recipients. This just crossed the Full Disclosure mailman moderated mailing list. It bears a careful read, and thought about whether a response is needed. The implication is that if there is any use of a mailman password in common with a password you 'care' about, you need to take appropriate action at
